    Well, it's basically a phrase which, when translated from French, means "I am Charlie". It refers to the attack that was taken out on Charlie Hebdo, a satirical magazine. This saying also stands for freedom of speech, because the attack was apparently caused by some specific contents of the magazine.

    Long story short, je suis means "I am" in French (Je/j' means I and suis means am (when connected to je/j')).

    "Je suis Charlie" is French for "I am Charlie". It was a hashtag that started after the Charlie Hebdo attack.

    Also, this is really a question you could ask on your profile. You post a lot of minuscule threads like that.
