So, this was my gift for both Christmas and my birthday (Jan 4), and it costs just under $3000. Some of the equipment on this is unnecessarily good but the technician that worked with us thought that this would all be necessary for the future, so after looking for lower prices and him not knowing much about the lower equipment, we settled for this. Sorry for the blurriness xD I put the computer there just for the picture, it's spot is under my desk Oh, and I have a beautiful chair Here's a better look at the inside Specs: Corsair RM750 Power Supply MSI GeForce GTX970 Twin Frozr V Video Card MSI x99s Gaming 9 DDR4 Motherboard Ripjaws 4x8GB RAM (32 because 16 was not available) i7-5930k Intel Processor Keyboard: Razer BlackWidow Chroma (And most importantly, it runs MC at over 1,500 FPS)
Overkill, as you know, but what's done is done. Maybe you should have reserved some money for a new chair? :P
We built it ourselves (me and my dad) and that technician I talked about helped with a bit of the wiring at the end, and configured the BIOS settings c:
"You need an X99-based motherboard for Core i7-5960X, -5930K, or -5820K." - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-core-i7-5960x-haswell-e-cpu,3918-2.html
But wht are you using a 5930K? That speaks overkill in volumes. No offence, but you could've spent $1000 less on it (literally) and gotten the EXACT same, if not BETTER performance for what you use it for.
^ i dont know why you would get a workstation motherboard, i mean, you could have gotten a 4770k, or not, a 4790k and a z97 motherboard
Mhm, or you could just wait for the GeForce GTX 1000 series to come out next year and buy one of them.
