I think parents would want this... To stop kids going on some websites and stuff that can be bad for them

This generation of kids is screwed up. There's little kids swearing and are spoiled brats who brag about stuff they have, like they shouldn't even have a phone at 6. There's kids literally getting pregnant at very young ages, and parents won't even do ANYTHING about it. Parents, CONTROL YOUR FREAKING KIDS. Sorry, but the next generation of humanity may be done for.

I feel like I'm the only person who chooses not to play violent games like GTA and COD.
But yeah, this generation is screwed up.

I see 7 year olds running around calling each other "faggots" and swearing constantly.

I know a 10 year old who told me I should fuck myself while I die in a ditch. When I told him he shouldn't even know those words, he called me a faggot, then proceeded to say that faggots should die in hell, therefore I should die in hell.

    Yup, this generation is screwed.
EDIT: This kid just claimed he was 21 and had a wife. He then cursed at me 50 times and used my own insults against me, like, word for word.

Um I hate when you try to generalize this entire generation because not all of it is bad
not all of it is "6 year olds cursing on the internet playing M rated games"
    Also stop blaming the parents
they can't monitor what their children are doing 24/7
    because
    a) they have a life
    b) they have work
    and
    c) They're not as technologically inclined as we are

These kinds of threads piss me off
because you're making it seem like this entire generation is a piece of shit
    stop generalizing honestly.
    annoying. -.-

    ALSO

these kids who know what condoms and sex are
    good for them
    because
they're gonna need to learn someday about it and the parents most likely won't tell them
    heck
I'm 14 and my parents still haven't talked to me about it.
You make it seem bad and disgusting and ungoldy
    well guess what
    it's not.
    It's not bad at all
    it's a part of life
    so stop.

Just remember that the ones who invented the things we are "obsessed" with, were adults and we are not the reason we are "screwed up". Our parents blame us for being so different then they were but they forget that they are the ones who raised us...

i wanted to express what i was recently thinking about the moment i posted this thread. i was on a Garry's Mod server when a child joined and talked trash and said some words that shouldn't be known by them until they're older. when you say by learn someday, i personally think they should learn that later.

I think the world has something planned for us.

Not to frighten any of you people, but I sincerely think that WW3 is going to be the only solution to making people more serious. Especially if the war takes most place in America or Japan. Those areas are where kids need discipline........Including me.

Words that are harmful isn't usually used in the past. Wars happens because other countries wants to have more land. Words that hurts people feelings aren't often used in the past. The world in the past was peaceful and nice to each other often.

    1999 - 2014

People's brain are developing. Words that are rude are from science and other languages. Penis is the private male part but other people use it for evil. The present people's brain are developing good things and bad things. Internet are both harmful and useful. Internet can make children's mind so evil that they always dream racist , sex and other bad stuff. Internet can help people about scientific materials , meanings of the words and other good stuff. We humans made this good and bad stuff. Even though you didn't do bad but it's our fault.

    agreed.

on my behalf, I'd like to see young kids playing REAL video games, not the kind where you walk around shooting people.

No, I'm talking about the strategic games, you know, the ones that require brains. The video games that will teach you more than destroy you, and the ones that will give you life skills you never learned in school. Maybe raising your kids to play those video games would heal this generation, fight fire with fire.

Yes. I'm probably the only person in my school who plays Portal rather than COD. I've been called a nerd for it before. COD players may as well just play Abc mouse.

    ...

Why is everyone complaining about "annoying six year olds"? Jesus have mercy, what is wrong with you?

You were 6 at one point, and I bet to hell that you did the same exact things.

Honestly. You were like that at one point in your life. (and don't you dare say you weren't. If you do, you're lying. 100% lying.) We all said these words at one point.

Great point by @Fluttershy's Assassin : We all acted immature at one point, and we all still do.
Yes, we still act immature. None of us are mature. None of us.

What baffles me about these threads, these people, and these posts complaining about "6 year olds"...is that you have no right.
You can't just grow up and attack what you were years ago.

You know why else? We are the ones who taught them these words. How many of us have used these? How many of use used them a lot?

This thread also humors me. You aren't even looking out for them. You aren't telling them to stay away because they're in danger of getting "corrupted"...oh no, you're telling them to get out because you can't handle them. Do you know how selfish you are all acting right now? Do you? You don't care for them, you only care for yourselves. If anyone needs to leave, it would be you. How do you think people got these attitudes in the first place? Us.

The internet isn't the problem. The problem is schools, families, and real life. People at school act like popular douche-bags. Certain family members act like up-tight know-it-alls. Real life, random strangers will say these words whenever.

Potato...they hypocrisy of this line: "If you look at console's popular franchise, Call of Duty, more than half of the players are not even 18."
Really...really. You play these games, no? I play these games, don't I? Perc plays these games. And notice how it doesn't affect us whatsoever.

@GoobyHasAnOpinion made a fantastic point: Don't blame the parents. Parents have lives too.
Notice how half the people agreeing with this "it's the parents fault"
Always say to new guys who complain about the server not updating: "J&H have lives too."

Another amazing point by Gooby: For those who know about sex, good for them...it's a part of life.
Because he's right: Parents aren't going to teach you this shit. 9 times out of 10, the schools do it.

If anything, this generation has problems with arguing about things they know nothing about. Just stop.

No need to worry, thus generation is by no means able to "cause world war 3" or be the "worst generation". The "6 year olds" are part of our generation, if you haven't realised, and as stated before, is an overgeneralisation.

I'm blaming all of us, yes.

Sure, it's partially the parents fault, but the example you state is wrong. The parents' faults in this are when the swear at, in front of, or in ear range of their children. Letting us play M rated games? No.

You see, the games don't teach them this. Why? They've already learned it.
Through school, or family, they already know these words. The amount of children learning these words through video games is much smaller than what you people seem to imagine.

    School? Our Fault.
Family? Possibly our fault, depends on which member is speaking.

Now...see, as you said "kids learn A LOT of swear words on CoD from the online chats (mainly from people raging)". Yeah, you're right. Who's saying this? The gamers. Not the parents, not the game, but the gamers. Sure, parents allow kids to play these games...but it wouldn't be a problem if people could learn to control their anger. Ultimately, it is all linked back to us.

Wait wait wait...so you're going to tell me I don't care about your opinion, then yell at me for replying? If you didn't want me to reply, why would you post that? If I didn't care about your opinion, I would have ignored your post, or more likely, I would have explained to you why you were wrong in the harshest way possible.

Notice, how i'm not bashing your opinion, merely explaining my side. (I'm also explaining my points more clearly.)
Notice, how i'm calm, and not bashing your post.
Notice, how this isn't a fight.

I'm sorry...but if you don't want your opinion to be contradicted, I advise you don't post on controversial threads. People are going to post theirs, and then tell you how your opinion is wrong, and how theirs is right.
I was being kind compared to what others do. You can post your opinion, I respect it. But don't go around telling others what to do, or accusing people of turning things into flame wars. It's unethical.

    Okay,
I don't want this thing going on between us to affect the other people on this thread, I'm just gonna go and delete all of the posts I've made replying to you.
I suggest you do the same.

I'm not worried about the next generation.

I used to be lured in from the internet. I learned that certain things are far more concentrated within the internet than the actual problem. Many active gamers believe that the next generation is screwed. In reality, however, I rarely meet spoiled brats that play these games far too high of an age for them. The ones who do, however, will mostly grow out of their ways or change their ways before they can make another spoiled person. IMO, there are much less of these people than most think there are. I volunteer at my sister's school for services I can do, since my parents are preparing me for college. She's in elementary, and there about four people per grade who seem spoiled like this. Of the ones who are, most of them have an okay attitude towards others as well. (Each grade has about 125 kids)

    Okay. Moving on

I'd like to address this as well: Little kids are swearing because they think it's cool.

We are the ones who made it that way. Think about it, kids of our age always swear. Nearly every sentence they say, has some type of swear word in it. What do you expect little kids to think? They hear a swear word coming from some popular kid, they're probably going to think "Oh wow, if he/she is saying it, it must be cool!"

Same thing with the attitude. People act popular because they see popular people doing it. They think that acting like a bitch, arguing with authority all the time, bullying little kids, and acting like you're always right is what will make people like you. So, they do it. Who are these "popular kids"? The 14-16 year olds.
    Our generation.

It's mainly the spoiled kids. And said spoiled kids rarely play CoD, or Fallout, or any of the games you'd find these attitudes in. They get phones, they text, and bully. They don't pay attention to games, they mainly pay attention to their popularity irl.
