Winter: Your Thoughts?

First things first(I'm the realest): I envy you if you live in/near Australia or New Zealand right now. It's all warm and sunny down there(correct me if I'm wrong), but up here in Never Land(not telling where I live) we aren't so lucky.

I both love and hate winter. The things I love about it are:
- Snow(unless this is the year mother actually makes me shovel it)
- Christmas/Winter break
- All the Christmas movies that come on TV
- Watching the leaves fall(more of an Autumn thing, actually)
- Drinking copious quantities of tea and hot chocolate

The things I hate:
- The 2-3 days before Thanksgiving and Winter break(I'm not a patient person)
- Christmas Eve(I got a sore throat on the night before Christmas 3 years in a row. I just hate it now, even when I don't get sick)
- Having to shovel snow(if this is my year)
- Returning to school after breaks
- THE F**KING COLD, DUDE!

My Thanksgiving break is in 4 school days and I can't handle it because I also have drama that day so I don't even get to enjoy it till 4

But here in the San Diego area, it gets around 50 degrees in the morning ;-; It doesn't snow, so no power outages yaaay c: This is now.

But back in Rhode Island? AWW HEEEEELLLLLL NO. The snow felt good for only about 15 minutes, and then you see why adults hate it. It's TOO cold, it causes power outages, all of the shoveling, cars might not work, etc etc. Feels good to have it nice and warm here in SD c:


Things I like:
Christmas (even though I'm atheist lol. Actually, yesterday my friend was questioning why I even celebrated it :3)
Cuddles
Las Vegas (this year *fist pump*)
More hot cocoa than usual
Movies
Sweaters
Extra hot showers
Swog

Things I hate:
Snow
Cold
Not enough blankets
Going back to school on Jan. 2nd. W. T. F. Hopefully not this year...
Ugh basketball season

Summer is the worst in Australia...
Its over 40 Celsius here. Which is over 100 fahrenheit for you guys...

You guys are lucky with the cold...

 

In San Diego, it is still about 75 Fahrenheit, so about 23-24 Celsius

Making snow angels
Giving my brothers 'face washes'
Baking Christmas cookies with the fam
Snow days

Things I hate:
That winter lasts 6 months here
Shoveling
Slush
Cold feet/nose/ears
Getting 'face washes' from my brothers
-30°F temperatures

Ok uhm.

What I like about winter is:
Wearing sweaters is actually apropriate.
School break.
Looking foward to decorating a Christmas tree. (I'm an athiest and I'm really not supposed to celebrate it because it's a Christian holiday, but my family is catholic so I have to participate. xd)
Listening to Christmas music. (Classic rock of course.)

What I hate about winter is:
The fucking cold.
The fact that we rarely see snow.
The fucking cold.
My hands feel like they are about to fall off.
The fucking cold.
The fact that it gets night very fast.
The cold.
The fact that I have to see my family. (You know, annoying cousins, newborns, toddlers.)
Runny nose.
Itchy skin.
Taking a shower when it's really hella cold.

I'm one of the 2 people that voted no lol.
It's so cold outside that by the time I walk home, I'll be the star of Ice Age 4
I carry around large jackets to school, only to take them off and not wear them until the end of the day and if I end up not wearing it, then it's just even more annoying.
Sure, snowball fights are fun, but I hate the fact that snow will get into your house and then melt. All the dirt is being eroded by the ice -Science- and then when it melts, your floor gets all dirty and sloppy. It just makes me wanna not be there.
Ice is also a problem because if there was rain the night before, you better hope that it wasn't heavy, because the moment you step outside, you're dead. I've had many incidents where I've slipped and fell because of ice. In fact, 84% of my slip and fall incidents are because of the ice being in my way.
The amount of accidents that occur during winter are abundant to the amount that occurs during the summer time or fall season. The road gets all slippery and shit and then BAM accident.
Another reason why I hate winter is because of all the snow that piles up. Most of you don't know this, but my parents are going through a divorce and after my dad leaves, guess who's in charge of shoveling all the snow? You guessed it, me.
When I wake up for school and pull of the covers, I get blasted with this blizzard as if I was fighting against an ice wizard in Wizard 101.
Pretty long list for why I hate Winter.

I like the cold of winter, but here in Hawaii, winter doesn't make sense at all. I'm so-so about the cold temperature because I like the cold, but it makes me sick. I like the "long" winter break we have this school year and I especially love the holidays.

to be honest the only thing that I notice is that there is barely any plants/ trees and it gets slightly colder.

I like winters but the snow we had earlier this year was not fun. It stopped everything, no one went anywhere, it was 50 degrees and the snow was still there, it froze, I had to shovel my driveway, school was extended. It just sucked.
