It has been 2 years of the existance of the J&H forums. 1 Year for this pink forum. Another year for the previous dark blue forum. (That I know of) How have the forums changed? How have the users changed? What are your opinions? I personally think before the pink forums, a lot of things were dark. But right now, everything seems to be fine. The removal of the extra forum titled "Member chat only" (Or something) I think has helped. "Member chat only" was an extra addon to the dark blue forums when JH added an extra forum category in Off Topic, where only members could post. I personally think that caused wars, and such, so I think it was good they removed that. It caused distrust. Also, the members have grew in my opinion. Some have left, some have joined. Before @GummyBean , @GoobyHasAnOpinion , and @Leopard_Lover21 crashed into the server with their "Disney field trips," everything was a bit dull, in my opinion. But now that more hyperactive members have came, I think this adds a taste of jolly to the forums. Which, it could have used a lot back then. The staff, I don't know much about. Honestly there were staff members I didn't even know existed, and a lot of them have been flooding in, in my opinion. But, it is for the best anyways. The server grows, the staff must grow along with it. As for the server itself, I think a lot less players go on it, but there's a bigger player database. I kinda feel like the server itself is a bit null, as not much is happening at the moment...I kinda liked the old Zombie Strip Club ;) Overrall at the moment I think everything is pretty good, and I hope it stays that way. :)
So true The old forums still exists in my body( I don't have a heart) The server and the forums grew up to a hole new level, the income of players is now HUGE, and the people that left will truly be missed forever I might be one of those people
TBH, not to me. But, I don't really miss a lot of people. The server's dramatically changed since I've been here along with the forums. Too many ways.
Uhm, we had cool people back in the old forums. The chatbox was rad. We had signatures and gif profile pictures that actually moved. One last thing, no one could obviously forget that one Pandora Rings thread that spambots posted on, and the thread wasn't closed. xd
For the most part I agree, but lots of people need to learn their manners. Like, seriously. People being rude everywhere. Besides that, I think that the forums seem more mature overall and more fun to be on, anyway. But seriously. People, your manners. Use them. Please.
Hm -The first month- Overall amazing, owners were active, people were awesome and it was nice to be on. -Next few months- Flame wars brewed, people were trashing the forums and abusing the new perks and complaining about the old -The next few months after- This is probably the golden age of the forums. Roby stopped the fighting and was in control. Best part about the forums were there. -The remaining- Slowly it became worse. The owners only come on for news, players were furious when they didnt get there way. Etc etc Hopefully we can gain more respect towards one another. Thats my perspective
(Old forums) I'll just say that everyone was... closer. Even the owners, and the community. Remember that? Mostly, people played the server. We communicated. We were not really... all out doing our own things like this. So, a lot more people were on and focused on the server. It was way less professional. That's what I think. However, with all of this comes bad and good things- this couldn't last forever, for example. The unprofessional stuff had to go. They had to improve their act for donations, and to strive, which I do agree with. Also, a community needs diversity- this diversity was dulled down- but it most exploded in the chatbox. The chatbox was fun. Also, it was not like some... hem... social media websites. And then, new forums. We got to see a giant change, as the community had changed greatly. But... people were more testy. The community was bigger, after all, with good and bad things included in this evident diversity. The flame wars. At this point I left because I was finding no fun, so I just went out to Skype to talk to the people who I really knew- a lot of these people had left by this time. But then the mess was cleaned up... part of this, I missed, so I'm not sure, but the members flushed in and out, mostly everyone was happy, the server grew, etc. And... now. I can't describe now. I'm in now, and now might be chunked up with later, which I'm not in.
I liked when the server was smaller. When there were only a couple hundred or less people on I could communicate better. Now its just this big whirlpool of new and unknown players.
I've been here since around the end of 2012. I donated for [Cool] about 2-3 months before the server restarted. Then the server went down hill from there :L
If you guys like the old server and forums so much then why dont you go and marry it!!!!1!1! But seriously if you don't like it now why are you still here?
Because where else do they have to go? It's not like there's a second J&H forums that we all like... I liked it more when people were closer. Before survival went down was probably the best times for the server. After, everyone basically left, we drifted apart, and lost friendships. That is all i'm going to say.
Like a lot of the vets, I liked the server more when it was like 500 people or less. It was like a small city, where everyone knew eachother. But as the server grew bigger and had new things, there were too many people and everyone slowly drifted apart. As much as some of us want the good old times back, we have to acknowledege that it will never be the same. BTW that section was called Registered+
