This isn't trying to be offending
    but I'm just saying
You don't need to act like it's the end of the world. All good things come to an end.

Wait, so you're telling me that if your best friend irl told you he was moving away and you might never get in contact with him again you would just say "okay."
Because that's what I'm getting from that.
You expect everybody to be all calm and like "Yeah whatever, bye" when some of their best friends are leaving?

So you're basically saying people can't get emotional when a friend is leaving forever?! Wow, why would you even make a thread about this?

I think he is criticizing the fact that people make one to get reactions like that, and sometimes they come right back due to those reactions.

    Totally not a hypocrite.

But, the people here are my real friends so of course I'd be sad if they're leaving. I hate losing my friends so of course I'd freak out.

No. This is online; not real life. You can just go to whatever server he's going to. Online is not the same as real life. And no, I'm not expecting them to be calm; this is OVERREACTING at it.

    I agree.

People that you don't even know on leaving threads go "umg dun leave I cri." They don't care.

Eventually, you're never going to talk to your forum friends. When you're 37, you won't remember who JoeyBACONBacon was, or who Theminer30 was, or even who HiMyNameIsAJ was.

Guys you're missing his point. What he meant is people that aren't too close are screaming in the comments of goodbye threads instead of typing something appropriate, like a fun memory of them or good luck or something.

He never said that you can't miss your friend. Plus it's an opinion not an order. Let's just face reality for a second here, you probably won't cry yourself to sleep about it, unless they meant a lot to you.

Off topic: you posted this at 4:20 PM pacific time lol

On topic: There are those who have met IRL/ plan to meet irl and these forums may be their only form of communication. How about that?

    . . . .

Not that much to say but I agree..

Especially to people who says that to other people that don't even really know the person who is leaving.
Just try not to be a "careless" person, I don't really care everyone in this community. I already lost interest of watching and playing IJAH server. Because everyone here, doesn't even know who I am ( Except some people like my best bud Shadow_Riolu or nephew and niece or other friends who I talked to skype before.) It's okay to overreact in real life, but in the internet world. It's not that necessary, you met this certain person in the internet not real life. You'll just end up looking like a fool of yourself through the internet world, but if you really care this person. You know what to do.

JoeyBACONBacon shall not be forgotten, my friend. You shall be the only person ever to have bacon in their name. Twice. Which is totally necessary.

Okay this thread look fun so I'll give my opinion on it.
Personally I don't really mind the people who reply to leaving threads. For a lot of peeps, these are their homeboys with whom the hang. I don't blame some of their responses.
(That's right, I just used "whom" and "homeboys" in the same sentence)
What interests me more is why so few people ever actually leave, but I suppose it's because of the forums being addictive and hard to leave once you join.

Then that's how it should be. If you're going to see them IRL and they have plans of leaving, just ask for their number so you can call/text. Simple. Enough.

Half the time people leave MC as a whole, and sometimes those people don't have other ways of being contacted. Now, such a case is rare, but it's common to have them leave MC as a whole. Either way, it still is hard. And as far as I've seen, nobody goes bat shit crazy over people leaving. They get sad, it's to be expected. I still am getting the same feeling from this that you're just misunderstanding how they feel. I've had friend just drop off the face of minecraftia and I never have gotten in contact with them. It sucks. If it wasn't for the fact that I don't get offended very easily, I probably would be.
I think you should try to be more considerate to these people. Even if they are overreacting, it's not everybody, and for the few who it is, are they bothering you? Are their feelings making you mad? What is the problem with them quote in quote "overreacting" to this, anyway? As I've said, they have the right to react with sadness if their friends are leaving them.

Now, do I like the whole "NOOOOOOO PLEASE STAY!" No, I'm not a huge fan of it. However, it really doesn't hurt much. Before you say "it makes the person leaving feel bad" unless the person saying for them to stay is serious and is actually trying to drag them back (which is horrible friendship, for anybody who doesn't have the common sense to see that) then there's no problem, the person leaving would see it as them saying "aw, I'm gonna miss you."

    You're not getting the point.
This is just basically my opinion on them.
    Also
Really? You think I'm not considerate? I am. You're not being considerate to me, ignoring my feelings. I know how they feel.
I know how they feel exactly. You're taking this too seriously. Sure it's a friend, but really, that's just life. It's not a road with no bumps.
Great job ruining my life with your words.

He's trying to politely convey a point.
He isn't being inconsiderate in any way shape or form, and he definitely isn't ruining your life with words.
