My Comment Earlier

I deleted the comments and then un-deleted them for various reasons. Just now take notes and take this as your warning no more arguing over this thread. I wouldn't want to lock it.

 

Okay, I skimmed over this thread and found some of the comments mislead, so I'll just clarify a few things now.

Yes, she and I talked about what she did and we came to the mutual agreement that her opinion was not invalid and that she was totally entitled to not only have it, but voice it.

But we also mutually agreed that the way she chose to approach this was...inappropriate.

As for whether or not her posting this was forced. Its not forced. I suggested that maybe making a public statement to explain what we discussed was in order, but she was by no means forced to. It was a suggestion, one which she agreed to.

Yes, she sticks by her opinions, but she's not a blind fool; she knows when she's crossed the line. She even told me herself she realizes that.

There are right and wrong ways to voice an opinion. What she did was an outright personal attack, and that was not necessary. It was written in a hostile and attacking manner that was not only not needed but was frankly pointlessly rude. That said. She knows better now and thats part of why she is taking her haitus. She's stressed out and its causing her to lash out easily, so she realized she needed a break.

 

I still don't even see why any of this is a problem... Why are people so uptight? Learn to lighten up :p

 

Sorry I don't exactly know what your idea of a personal attack is
but her post on that thread is a not a personal attack.

Sorry I can't really seem to find anything abusive in her remark.

Ok, after the edit, that whole paragraph was un-necessarily aggressive and written in a rather attacking manner.

The last paragraph, she cited a situation completely different than what the thread was talking about. The instance where I said they were equal was when referring to rule enforcement. For instance, an admin doesn't get to harass a player personally and get away with it, spamming them and cursing at them and generally giving them trouble. Just because they are an admin. No, that doesn't work that way. We're held to a higher standard; not lower. If anything, there's less excuse for a staff member to misbehave. That is the conversation she's pointing to then calling him out on it, rather rudely I might add. Once again her phrasing was un-necessarily hostile.

(EDIT: Point to that paragraph is; she pointed to a completely different instance that didn't even pertain to the thing she was talking about. Kind of like a scare-crow argument....then got rude about it to boot.)

Her attitude in this entire post has been hostile and inappropriate. So I had a friendly chat with her about it; Ask her yourselves if you want to. I was never rude or hostile, I explained the situation and what I saw wrong in what was going on. She had some time to think about it, by herself, without my interference. She came back on her own, and we talked about it, and voilah.

Rockor recently told me an anology that fits this perfectly.

Its like soccar kids. The soccar moms care more about the game than the kids playing it. This is the same thing. You all are raging and caring more about this than the person who screwed up in the first place.

I do have to say one thing.

All this bickering over ranks being changed to state something that was already a fact to begin with; then further bickering all because one staff member got out of line, did something she shouldn't have, then came out to correct her mistakes after we talked about it.

This is a bit much.
