I absolutely agree with this and feel the same! I would love to have a change to the Staff Applications so that responses are only from the applicant and the staff. I wouldn't mind also having you guys report some applications to us that don't follow the format, or that the application is the member's first post, etc etc.

Suggestion 1: Post authors are to be either the applicant or the staff.

Many of you may think this isn't a good idea as staff don't check applications that much to give helpful feedback so that the applicants can edit and improve the quality, but I think this would decrease the amount of members who think it's a good idea to post the same stuff on each application.
+ No need to control the posts.
+ Therefore, less fights about post counts bla bla bla
+ More professional feedback ;)

Suggestion 2: Have an area where you guys can report the sloppy applications, (maybe) have an area where you guys can suggest good ones - like a poll or *mostly liked/suggested*.

+ Neater way for staff to sort applications
+ It's there, boom, we can lock it if it does not meet full requirements, get that out of the pile straight away
+ Be able to see staff potentials more clearly
+ Of course, make staff lives easy going :)

I see you guys enjoying helping out the community. I think this is great to get you guys involved and suggest good applications as staff don't always have the time to look through that section and doing this will make us feel more confident, I feel, in bringing in some newbie staff ^-^ Thanks @JoeyBACONBacon for standing up for this, you've opened a window for many others to express their opinions on this which is great to see. I like it when you guys want to improve the forums/server! :D

 

Am I going overboard I am seriously telling the people and examining each application not copying and pasting I take time and examine and seriously help those people with every single little detail.

 

It doesn't matter.

Helping them with every single little detail is literally the worst thing you can do. You're writing applications for these people. If their applications are good enough, they'll be promoted.

I'm sure as hell @LilaRok, @Devin610 and @Gthang77 didn't have "help" when they applied for staff.

 

I only choose the applications that need some fixing to work on why do you think I don't do the good ones?
When I see a good application I write all the good things about it and I don't write any tips at all.
