I have tried and tried again to record Minecraft gameplay. First of all, my computer has 2 gigabytes of ddr2 ram, and 2 cores, 2.6 ghz. Running Windows xp still. I'm not sure how cores many Minecraft uses.

The programs I most often use are CamStudio and Screencast o matic. CamStudio offers you many different encoders, but I don't know what to use. The only game I've been able to properly record was ROBLOX with Screencast. The other times I made any other videos was with ScreenBird, which needs compiling now...

Any one have tips or ideas to help?

MC uses 1 core by default, but you use the 2nd core as well if you enable Multi-Core chunk loading.

I don't think you'll be able to record well due to the RAM, but Fraps and Overwolf are good if you find a way around that :)

Get Fraps. Its a great recording software for games, and desktop. Search it up on YouTube, get the paid one for free or buy it yourself
