Hey so I have a list of specs, in which I do not know how to build a PC, it's too confusing. I was wondering if you guys could help me out by maybe putting some links or something to places which will build me any custom for cheap. Cheers guys! ;)

If you watch a couple of YouTube videos, you'll learn how. It's actually a lot easier than you think :)

If you need a good video for beginners, have this.

Also, if I may ask, whose part list did you go with? ;)

Thanks, and I actually made the same forum post on Tom's Hardware (The Place Full Of Experts) and some guy gave me a nice specs list with a really nice price to it and he told me about a lot of things and why he chose this rather than that and stuff. I found this is what I've been looking for, I did make it have a better Power Supply tho ;)

If you want a nice community with tons of computer experts, HEXUS is where you need to go. It's also UK based so that covers you and me :p

Looking a the build, you'd be better off with a 840 EVO rather than an M500. You'd also want to know that your motherboard is a bit of an overkill and you can save £40 by using an MSI z97 PC Mate instead. You could definitely save £10-30 on your case although I have no specific recommendation.

Stuff you DEFINITELY do/not need in your build:

    • That wireless card. I doubt you have an a/b/g/n/ac router and would make use of dual-band, but correct me if I'm wrong. Go for a simple b/g/n card. N provides sufficient speeds.
    • A better cooler. If you're planning to OC, a 212 is nowhere near sufficient. Go for something more powerful like a D14. You WILL need it. As well as...
    • Better RAM. If you're doing rendering and editing, you'll need 16GB. You'll also need to get low profile sticks to ensure they will fit because that CPU heatsink is VERY chunky.
    • Last note: DEFINITELY don't go Windows 8. It's impossible to multitask, and the FPS increase isn't noticeable at all, unless you're using some dual-core laptop.
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/g8gJBm is a good list, although you should upgrade the case if you can afford it.

Aside from that, I wish you luck with the build :).

I'd just stick to HEXUS. Post a thread in their 'Review My Build' section and they'll help you from there :).

If you hadn't found it already, their website is forums.hexus.net
