Earthquake in California

Apparently a major earthquake occurred somewhere in California (Napa I think) and a lot of stuff has happened.

I live near Napa :o.

 

Heard of it last night. The area and magnitude are leading people to think that the tectonic plates are moving.

I always hear about about earthquakes everyday in California. Poor them.

Earthquakes don't happen everyday.

I lived in CA my whole life ;p;

 

earthquakes happen every day. Just in really low magnitudes (mostly) ;)

The tectonic plates are always moving. As time builds up, so does pressure, and the pacific fault line bends the rock to pass a few milimeters. Every years, about 10 centimeters of pacific ocean is lost, and we will soon collide with Japan.
