I am actually very annoyed with them removing all these faction kits, Sethomes, Templerun Minigame and Survival games perks.
I understand that it was unfair for those who could not afford to get a rank but that is why we, the ones who payed lots of money, got these ranks.
When I bought my latest rank (Premium) I got it for many reasons: Unlimited Creative and Skyblock sethomes, Faction Kits, Starter sword in Survival Games and many more. Now I feel like I basically just paying to have my name in green and say 'Premium' in the chat.
I will leave this discussion alone for now but if nothing gets better, than I am sorry but I will have to ask for a refund.
    Thanks, GleekFreek12.

It wasn't J&H's fault that these perks were removed. Lovely Mojang had to instate EULA which pretty much screwed up all the big servers like Hypixel, Mineplex and J&H included.

Everyone donated for the same reasons, and everyone will have to suffer together

I have to say, I think its for Mojangs scrapppy realms. It's purely to advertise them in my opinion. They just chose to bring it up now because realms is out.

I like how every other servers are telling us to not blame Mojang except for j&h. Mojang clearly stated servers just need to make perks unlockable through soft currency and let old donors keep their perks,

    here i quote
"How should servers deal with users who have already spent hard currency on features that affect gameplay?
Users may keep the perks they’ve paid for on the condition that the same perks are available to other players on the server (directly or purchasable using soft currency). It’s up to the server host to decide how to compensate users for previous transactions."

but j&h just decided to scam us by removing all the perks...

Edit: What j&h should've done is making /fly, /enderchest e.t.c unlockable via skyblock/factions/survival money. Its either they are too lazy to do fancy updates like this or they simply dont care about their players.

Edit2: Hypixel did a 10x better job than j&h for EULA, all donors kept their perks and perks are now unlockable with coins in every minigame. EVERY MINIGAME, that shows how much they want to improve their server and how much they cared. Dont even put J&h in the same list as hypixel, they are far higher upper class.

Adding on to this, I love how they said-
"We know that some of you guys will be mad about these changes, and believe us, we understand your frustration. However, we do not have another choice, it is either changing the donation perks, or shutting down the server."

There were plenty of other choices you could have taken. But you chose the hardest and least admirable one. Even Mojang said they didn't want servers to take the actions that J&H did...

For the "Blame Mojang" thing, I disagree entirely. I blame everyone who purchased Minecraft, and didn't read the ToU (Terms of Use). It clearly said in there, that hard currancy for game changing perks wasn't allowed. Yet, no one reads it, and if they did, most chose not to listen to it. It isn't Mojang's fault at all, it's ours.

Lesson to be learned from this: Read the goddamned Terms and Conditions before you purchase shit.

they edited it though, so then it does not conflict with the EULA

It's bad because we didn't get refunds on anything (even though it would only be a few pounds, euro etc.) for the perks they removed, but it is also good because donators had a major advantage with, swords in survival games, pickaxes in minefighter, etc. So overall I think it's pretty good that they removed perks and kits.

No. Not everyone donated for the same reasons. I've donated $350+ in USD to the server, and I don't care for the fact that I lost the perks. Why? I understood that I was donating. I cared about the server, not the benefits. And that's why I'm still as happy with server as I was before the EULA.

Also, Mineplex wasn't affected badly. Everyone now has the perks. I'm actually happier with its server changes than before.

You did not 'pay', you donated for the server.
The reason you got your perks because It was a 'thank you' for donating.

They didn't force you to donate, you did it on your own choice.

    exactly.
If you donated to have the perks, then you shouldn't have deserved to have those perks in the first place.

There's no mention of "donation" on their store.

But people like to use the word donate, because some want to support them. However legally if you give something to the customer you can't say it's a donation, even if it's for a good cause!

I can't believe a lot of people cared more about the perks that they will receive when they donate, instead of helping to keep the server alive..

We've been over this too many times. The EULA happened and things changed, so we have to adapt to those changes, like most people have. And another thing,
Can we please stop talking about the EULA now?
