By we, I mean the forums. Think about it... We have the higher up users, such as the 'Ancient' ones from the old forums, and the ones who practically everyone knows. They, would count as the 'popular' kids, such as cheerleaders and jocks. We have the casual users, who come here for the main purpose of the forums and for a little joke sometimes. They, are the not-so-popular-but-not-losers kids. We have those who come on to teach us about stuff. They are the 'nerds' and 'geeks'. Finally, we have the newer generation, the newbies. They are the targets. The targets of those popular kids. Now think about it... Don't the older members 'pick' on the newer members? Ever remember an user saying: Etc etc... That, in a way, can be seen as 'picking on'. But, is it as bad as what it may seem? Unlike the American schooling system, where the teachers don't do anything, this 'Americanised' school running forum is pretty much managed by 'Australianised' teachers. Over here, even play fighting can end up with a detention. The rules are stricter, and it's much safer. True, we don't have the jocks and nerds, and that we only have the 'popular' and 'non-popular' divisions. It would be fun having an entire Americanised high school been run by Australianised teachers, due to the different expectations of the two parties. We get a glimpse here. The staff are strict with what they do, correcting our behaviour. We run rowdy, causing chaos occasionally. Thinking back, are we any different? Is it bad that we aren't? Of course, not everyone fits into a certain position, but the majority do. But, to be honest, we are 'fine' for now. Minor problems, but they should be ironed out by Dao's iron fist ;) k bai
Actually, American teachers are rather strict about a lot if things, just the kids are often clever, and get away with things. We aren't really like on TV lol I see your point, though, there is sort of a distinction of the groups. I don't know, or think it needs to stop, as long as it's not causing drama
Hmm, although, my drama teacher did say otherwise with that 'We aren't really like on tv' point. I'm actually interested to see what it is actually like c:
Well, sure you could label people "jock" "nerd" "popular" etc if you wanted, but the schools are usually really large, and people are so mixed, these "jocks" who do nerdy things, vice versa. The jocks can't bully the nerds due to the fact that Americans like to sue. A lot... This is just my school anyways, and what I've seen and heard at other schools. Your drama teacher was probably just trying to get you in character.
We have the casual users, who come here for the main purpose of the forums and for a little joke sometimes. ^ I tink dis is me. I'm a 'lil lost rn tbh…
I think I count as a not-so-popular-but-not-a-loser kid. I need to use that term to more in regular conversation.
