Why do you hate anime?

I don't really hate anime, I just don't enjoy watching it. I can't explain why, it's just like I don't like eating fish.
I also feel like this thread is dedicated to me :)

 

Well, I don't hate it, but don't like it. I just don't watch it:p, but if anyone think I hate it, I have many reasons if you asked me, um here's a reason, most of my family watch anime like crazy, they are just like obsessed, and I don't want to be like them just watch for long time, and everything they talk about is about anime, or have anime posters everywhere in their rooms and Japanese stuff everywhere xD, that's just ruined my childhoodo_O

 

Lol, to tell you the truth, not really xD I don't read Japanese or whichever type of Asian it is. (No racism intended)

They're just not my kinds of show. I feel like I would enjoy some of them, it's just that I'm busy watching other things.

 

Everyone's obsessing over the same animes and I guess it's just getting annoying.

 

Tbh,I don't like anime. They look weird sometimes and I don't like reading the subbed version you know the translation of Japanese to English. The dubbed versions are even worse. They're not interesting one bit to me. I did watch 7 episodes of SAO to see what the rage was about but really, it was pretty boring and no action, and on the description it said that it was supposed to be funny but nah. I didn't see the comedy in it at all. That's who I am, I don't like anime and I don't enjoy it. Some like it, others not. I personally cannot stand it when someone forces another person to watch it. I actually like Spongebob alot better than this. Vaicun, when you make the 'THIS' threads. Some get it some don't. They're kind of a more 'spam-ish' thread than a actual thread. Whenever someone makes a post/thread about anime they get a bajillion likes, someone makes a thread that's reasonable and nothing to do with anime it gets 0 likes/views. Of course this is a trend and it should go away soon, like the Wumbo one, SAO, etc. But, until then. Anyways my point is, No. I don't like anime.

 

you can watch it dubbed or subbed if you don't like japanese just watch english dub and mikasa is a strong girl !

I hate it because of the voices. One time I was talking to @anratork59 about it and he said the the girl voices are to squeaky and the boy voices are very deep. Also I don't like it because everyone goes crazy about it (I don't like most mainstream stuff)

Anime. I don't really hate it, but most of the time there characters are just plain stupid and don't have a clue. Most of the plots are simple and predictable, and don't really keep me interested. They also tend to have a lot of drama that isn't necessary.

Me and my brother do enjoy SAO a lot though.

 

I used to feel meh about anime, then @GoobyHasAnOpinion happened.

 

I probably would like watching anime, like in that trailer of AOT but I'm afraid I'll get too addicted to it, and my grades will go down.

 

Don't worry you will only get addicted , grades stay normal the only thing that changes is your way of thinking (a better way)

 

I haven't watched anime before (besides Pokemon, if that even counts), so I really don't have much opinion on it. I'd just like to stay with my current fandoms.

What I do have a problem with, however, are the forum threads. Now, don't get me wrong, you can express your fandoms all you want. Nothing wrong with that.

But when it get's to threads like "This 1.0 - 8.0 (and counting)", filled with random pictures that only so many people get, it gets kind of annoying. (Not trying to offend you, but you were an example of this.)


There's also this problem I seem to have in depicting anime males with long hair from anime females, when I have no voices or personalities to go on. I'd rather not get caught in "Holy shit, that girl looks sexy! Wait...THAT'S A FUCKING GUY?!"
