I know that you can snap out of it. But you always act happy, Sera. Even though you have "Depression" I, Personally, Haven't seen you sad. But other people like to show it here. When we can't do anything. and being "Depressed" is no excuse to be rude.

Oh I know that. Yeah most of the time I'm sorta happy but in reality... I'm a total mess.

"had the audacity to tell him “get over it” as if depression
is something that can be remedied
by any of the contents found in a first aid kit"
From a poem, "To This Day".
Everybody in the world has sadness, and this guy (the guy who wrote the poem) is right. Depression can't be treated with anything found in a first aid kit. It's hard to cure depression, and sadness. Not everybody can be happy all the time. Can't people understand this by now? I know 2 girls, who are struggling with their lives every night. They're like my little sisters. Both of these girls, are perfect in my opinion. Yet they both believe their not.

You're telling people who are depressed, yet still being positive here, that they should go somewhere else? The forums would not have a bunch of "emos" if you, and anra, and almost all other members stay. Your killing me with these words here. Nobody here, is spreading their issues, so where did you get that idea? Maybe on this thread they said things about their life not being as great, but they weren't begging for help and spreading there issues everywhere else on the forums. Many people can't afford a therapist, or are scared to go. People are reaching out for help otherwise. The internet is a great place. (Bear and Caitlins posts which will be coming soon, are things I 100% agree with).

Don't hate on me for this, but you shouldn't be going around saying anything like this.

Honestly, I agree and disagree with this thread.
After a lot of experience in depression, I'd just want to say, there's different ways to handle this. If people are depressed, please don't think it's okay to just tell them to leave. I mean, even if you don't specifically know them, they have feelings too and they are one of us. Let's care about our community as we do our forums, please. If you know someone who is depressed, did you ever think.. maybe they wouldn't be depressed if someone actually showed they cared? If you show them that you actually care, they might feel better about themselves and you guys could create a new friendship. Sometimes, it's not easy. But nothing is impossible. If you end up not getting that far on their feelings, don't blame yourself. At least you tried. There will always be depressed people in this world, but you know, everyone has different feelings. Let's just enjoy what we have and not bother other people's issues.

I do get your point, Anra. I agree that it would be nice if everyone in the world could just snap out of depression and be happy all the time, but unfortunately, that is not true. But, I have many reasons to disagree. I have to ask, why did you post this thread? Who said they needed help? I'll be honest, this might actually make depressed people feel worse.. It will make them realize that it is almost impossible to just stop being depressed. It can take years for people to beat depression, coming from experience with depressed people. It takes awhile. It seems that people on the online world are always happy, but since it's online and not with facial expressions, there are so many depressed people online... you just can't tell. Getting that many people to just "stop" is never going to work. Most of the people that are depressed on here might be a total stranger to you, too, so how can this post even help them? Like I said, I do get your point about wanting everyone to be happy. It would be really nice if that was true, but this post has just created a mess and drama that is totally unnecessary.
