It would appear that a thread talking about drama in full detail, a combination of all the prior threads, needs to be made somewhere and pinned. It NEEDS to be seen, and NEEDS to be remembered.

To go along with that punchwood (another forum) had a great way of putting this:
"This a dictatorship, not a democracy, we reserve the right to censor what ever we want"

Yes but I prefer to avoid taking that attitude with it. Its not like we don't care about your opinions, and I would love to let you all just get things off your chest or voice your opinions on this matter. The only reason, and I am serious, -only- reason I have restricted this, is to put a stop to drama, propaganda, bandwagon jumping, and suchlike that has plagued this community and corrupted it.

For all this talk of corrupt staff. What about the community corrupting? People seeking attention who cry corruption every time they don't get their way?

I'm not saying there isn't a real and genuine problem with the staff. I am working hard on a solution to that mess. I have a few things I'm already working on in the staff section, which will be brought out for the public eye once its complete. I am also working on a better means for you all to voice your concerns about staff.

Harry has declined having a public viewable place for staff complaints, but I'm still exploring the possibility of at least having a report section where only the poster and authorized staff can see it. That section would be restricted to the 3 or 4 staff members, (including the owners and myself,) who handle those reports.

If I understand right, your suggesting a thread where I explain in better detail what makes a drama thread, and link examples?

    EDIT:
Apologies, I almost missed this post.
For now, threads about staff issues will be treated as attention seeking drama threads, yes.
Do I think that's -always- the intention? No. I'm not that delusional.
This is a step I've had to take as a temporary measure to get things under control.
I am working on a better solution, as I said above. For now, just PM me those reports here on the forums. Treat it like any other report abuse thread, except it goes in PM to me, until an official medium is created.

No, the detail you have right now is fine. What I'm saying is that there needs to be a thread made, similar to this, but with everything you've said in the past threads about problems with staff, and how it's drama, along with any other form of drama. Right now, people are told not to do it, but it's not quite explained what a drama thread is. Also, you've said to talk to you about problems with the staff, but it has nothing of the sort listed in that thread. You've made 3 or 4 threads about drama and problems with the staff, and they all seem to be part of the same main idea, so I would suggest creating a thread about WHAT shouldn't be done, WHY it shouldn't be done, WHAT happens if you do it anyway, and most importantly, HOW to deal with these problems responsibly.

Sorry for the late reply, I thought I had posted this earlier, apparently I had clicked away before I posted it, but here it is now.

To that point your right. The only reason I like it is sort of the reality check, I dont think Punchwood* likes that attitude either (I mean, it owned by PaulsoaresJR) they use it as a shock statement.
And to the original point, yes. I will also say that ive never had a bad experience with a staff member. Part of the problem is how you innately interact with staff. By example I got warned for something, and I had no clue what I did. I then Polietly asked said staff member what I did wrong. The staff member replied to me on what I did wrong (bump). I then thanked the staff member for answering my question. That was it. I suspect that some people do the opposite and that might lead to problems. Moral of the story: Some of the problems are easily preventable by simply by being nice to staff.

*I should go a head and say this: Im not a fan of punchwood, so that should hopefully clear up any thoughts about advertising. I use punchwood as an example about a rule)

I'm glad we could clear up that little misunderstanding. Not going to point fingers but lets just say someone PMed me something that made it pretty obvious that the purpose for this was misunderstood. :)

Also, I'm still waiting for final confirmation to be sure, but it seems that J&H are in agreement with you all having an official place to report staff abuse.

Unfortunately, they do *not* agree with having it public display. So.

Chances are, ya'll will get a report section wherein only the poster and a few trusted staff members (me, and of course J&H, not sure if anyone else?) will be able to see it and post on it, whereas nobody else can.

That said, while yes its still hidden from public eye, at least you all will have an -official- medium by which you can express your issues with staff.

and as I said, this rule isn't designed to censor. So I could care less if you talk over PM or in server about this as long as you don't create a huge public disturbance in the process.

That sounds like a great idea as I have seen it on some other forums just that way so staff and others dont flame about it. Thank you :)

If i started a petition on this will it be counted as drama? Id like J&H to see the public opinion.

No need to do that. They are aware of public opinion on this matter.

    Question
So , let's say 2 people are having a fight in public chat with grove language for everyone to see. There are 2 staff members online who don't do anything about it. Is that reportable then? Since you clearly know they're online and talking in chat.

They might have missed it, so try to ask them about it. If that fails, report the two who are fighting in the normal report area for that.

If however you notice a pattern or trend where a staff member constantly overlooks those cases, then yes, report *that* in the staff abuse section.

There's a staff report section, so this post is now kinda outdated for the most part. Plus, my new thread addresses the fact that there's a staff report area. :)
