The explosion is quite unrealistic, looks as if it's just floating away, and the sound doesn't match up with the amount of debris there is. Perhaps you should improve that, unless this is some stock animation.
I'm just trying to help him improve his animating skills, but from the following it appears he hasn't even created it himself.

Trying to help him improve his animating skills by telling him what he should work on, isn't that positive enough? I don't see how useless compliments would help him improve his animations. (Again, apparently they're not his animations)
