What do you use the word Derp for?

As most of you know by now, everyone has been saying the word 'Derp' people on the server, people on other games, youtubers, even me (a lot). But what people cant decide is what 'Derp' means. Some think it means
Funny, some think it means Stupid, some think it doesn't mean anything, so they don't use it. but no one has ever decided yet, I've even seen a few arguments about it. so what do you think derp means?

 

I mainly use it to refer to when I screw up something, or when someone else screws something up.
EXAMPLE: "I derped, and missed the train" or "Yomc is a derp, he spawned the wither in our faction base."

-When there's an awkward silence/moment.
-When I have nothing better to say.
-When I do something wrong/screw up xD
