Well the key to being a good moderator consists of expected qualities of any staff member such as:

-Being able to communicate with LOTS of people on the server
-Being active. In other words, putting in the effort to try and help people
-Showing that you can represent the server as a good community and that staff are not going to bite you :)
-Problem solving skills. You need to be able to deal with numerous server situations positively and try to limit the amount of inconvenience for the people in the community.
-Show that the server is worth playing on, try to encourage people on the server to have fun, interact with people, play games, make them feel comfortable in the server's environment

To become a staff member

Show respect
Be positive
Help a few people, report a couple of times (shows effort)
We want to see that you get along with people
Show that you aren't the type of person to encourage arguments, flame wars or be one responsible for one occurring.
Play on our server. We wanna know that you aren't wanting a staff position just for it, do it as a community service, not to make yourself look cool
Stand for right but dont offend. Show that you are willing to stand up for a person so that they dont feel uncomfortable.
Just follow the rules in general.
Don't be the type of person that consistently accuses people of hacks when they arent. In other words, be able to manage anger/emotions
Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Okay so Im in grade 10 this year and my school years go till November. I had them from about August in grade 8 until earlier this month. You may be wondering why.
