Think about this before you report

People need to stop this now

Ok, basically, what I've been seeing lately is this

Hi, today ____ was hacking on one in the chamber! He said to me in the one in the chamber lobby that he

hacks! He said that he hacks! Can you believe it! _____ hacks and after all this time, we trusted him!

Please ban this hacker because he really does hack i saw it and then he told me, heres a screenshot!

*insert picture here*


Clearly, this has no evidence whatsoever of him/her hacking at all, it is just words, not

hacking at all, so please, if you see someone hacking, take a video of it, not a picture

of them saying they hack!

My point is here, you shouldn't report someone just because they say they did something, if you actually see it then report the user.

 

Pretty much everyone points it out when you don't have evidence, Staff and players alike.

the problem is... some people dont have a recording device like me :/

 

Here's my problem with this thread:

-Not everyone has a recording device or wants to get one.

-I've never seen a report looks like that. Usually ones we see are one wall of text with horrid grammar and usually no proof.

-Not everyone sees the format when they go to report someone for the first time. Its most likely because on other forums, the sticky threads are something they dpnt pay attention to. Half the time when I report someone I end a new thread then realize I need the format. Yes, its annoying when someone doesn't follow the format, but it happens all the time so we just have to deal with it.

-In most cases screenshots can provide just as much proof as videos can.

-What the hell is the point of this thread? To tell people to get a recorder? Follow the format?

 

I say I hack, just to taunt players whenever I win OITC. But I do not even know how to install Nodus

 

Excuse me, but "What the hell is the point of this thread?" sounds very rude. I'll tell you anyways.
The point of this thread is to say that if someone says they hack, dont report. If you have actual video evidence, then report the user.

 

Sometimes people just rage at the end of matches saying "YOU HACK" or "F**** hacker" and people just say "yea of course I hack" and those people take it seriously and than report. I agree with this thread fully.

Thanks for pointing it out to people though!

 

Sadly, for those who do report like that, what are the chances of them viewing this exact thread and reading + taking in the information on this thread? I think it's very low.

Honestly though, some people obviously aren't used to reporting and that's why we (the more experienced ones) should help them out and make sure that they don't make the same mistakes again in the futures. After all, you learn from your mistakes.
