Minecraft Minecraft 1.8 Discussion

I'm really excited for 1.8 to come out (I think this May?)! I love what I'm seeing in the snapshots, and I seriously can't wait to do my Survival series when 1.8 is released.

I can't wait for slime blocks c:
I watched a bunch of sethbling's videos about redstone stuff made with them
We will finally be able to make a machine take moves on its own :D

 

I can't wait for the "create your own terrain" feature! Also, I'm a little disappointed that name changes aren't coming out for 1.8... IT will either be 1.9 or later, (sadly) but in the meantime i'll have LOTS of fun with that "create your own terrain" feature!

What do you mean by create your own terrain? Also name changes will be a lot of work.

 

It IS coming out in 1.8......

 

As of snapshot 14w17a, you can now customize your own worlds. You can choose to have only one biome, decide where ores/minerals will generate, etc. You can even choose from one of the crazy presets that Mojang included in the snapshot. It's really awesome if you ask me.

Custom worlds seems something amazing but I'm only waiting for namechanges. This name was made in alpha 0.0.13! Dreamed about that for ages :(

i bet the slime blocks will be fun to use in parkour maps

 

Sorry, when I checked the release date for 1.8 name changes I read it wrong, it said BEFORE 1.8. It also does say it possibly wont come out in 1.8.

So.. 1.8 skin format is not coming out in 1.8?

 

The skin format is already out.

Also, the skin options menu is part of the 1.8 snapshots, so that's definitely coming out in 1.8.

The only complaint I have is that Mojang barely are adding new blocks. I bet that update with the wool was a great game changer for all.
