Nobody gets the point of the song... Ylvis has a partnership with Stargate because of their show in Norway, and they got a chance to make a music video. They wanted to make something extremely stupid as a joke to start off the season of their show. They know it's bad, it's not supposed to be good. But it's a catchy song... it's not bad. People need to watch other Ylvis stuff before they just judge them for The Fox.
I hate this song, not because other people say it, only because it is soooo repetitive. I mean repetitive to the point it gets annoying. So in other words, I think of it more as annoying rather than stupid and unnecessary, but here is my reaction to the song:
The only thing that repeats is "What does the fox say" everything else is a bunch of random noises. I see how the random noises are annoying, but I don't see how it is repetitive.
