This seems to be a very common argument amongst trump supporters, but I have genuinely not seen any evidence of him addressing this issue himself or what he plans to do to change things?

“Life is the future, not the past. The past can teach us, through experience,
how to accomplish things in the future, comfort us with cherished memories,
and provide the foundation of what has already been accomplished. But only
the future holds life. To live in the past is to embrace what is dead.
To live life to its fullest, each day must be created a new.”
― Terry Goodkind, The Pillars of Creation

I believe this is what our President to be Harris is saying to AMERICA.
We are GREAT ! A work in process. A process for a better life for all not just the few.

maga wants to embrace what is dead. Not me

Now Harris is in that is where my vote is "Not Going Back"

trump still owes my dead Uncle companies $5mil for work done at casino that failed but he got to keep a ton of money.

trump gave the very rich tax breaks that cost us.
So any money President Biden sent out is peanuts compared to that.

trumps BIG tax cut for the rich and will give perks to any big money donators if he wins. Lets hope not is will cost every day working AMERICANS again

corporate greed main cause of food prices being so high. Go look up the main food chains payout to stock holders and exec's.
When food cost are high and the CEO's are getting $mils in bonus pay is where I see the problem.

putin and mbs agreed to cut oil production in 2020. Now what effect do you think that had on gas prices going up when they did? makes trump look good, Biden bad read and THINK

Oil is a global market though? So any price increases would flow through to the American domestic market regardless right, unless you are advocating for price controls of course ;) (or export/import restrictions on oil)

Dude, I’m not on these forums everyday, nor do I care enough to give a response. I have a job and a career that I’m focused on, not the forums I used to skulk about when I was 13. I gave my opinion and asked one question, what has you so desperate to hear my response?

How will Trumps policies improve the economy. How will they make my life better?

Out of your entire book of a post, this is the only thing that could be seen as an answer toward my question, so I'll ignore the rest and focus on this.
Trump, from what I have seen, does not intend to cut taxes. We're under Trumps tax plan right now and what has been said is that he plans to extend the current plan to be permanent instead of it expiring in 2025.

Since Trump is not planning on cutting taxes, but sustaining the plan we already have right now, I ask again:

Alright, so you cannot point to any upcoming policies that will improve the economy. What else do you not want to discuss? :)

Maybe he wants to talk about sharks, batteries and boats. At least he's better at the weave than Donald Trump is.

Right, we talked about the past economy and you had nothing further to say on actual data there, either. Did you want to discuss actual policies yet, or you still trollin?
You must not watch Trumps rally's.

You might like circles, but I don't. You already agreed that Trumps policies would increase inflation. Since we agree, lets move on to policies that will help the economy, no?
Sure, lets use pro sports terms for this. Since you want me to be the only one providing numbers, despite you not having any interest in policies, numbers, or facts, I'll use a quote:
"Since the end of the Cold War in 1989, America has created about 51 million new jobs. I swear I checked this three times. Even I couldn’t believe it. What’s the score? Democrats 50, Republicans one."
    -Bill Clinton

Now, I didn't ask for numbers. I asked you for what policies you believe are going to help the economy. I'll wait.

    Edit-
    I'll add to the score.
Since WW2 it's 88 million to 32 million, still MASSIVELY in Democrats favor on Job creation.
Recessions since WW2? Democrats 2, Republicans 9 (including Trump, but even if we exclude him, it's still 2-8).
Should we keep going? Democrats, in your words, "in every measurable way" have a track history of always having a better economy.

When I said Trumps policies will increase inflation and you said:
    False.
I've repeatedly attempted to bring topics of discussion to the table, but you have repeatedly avoided the discussion. dw, until you are ready to discuss this will probably be my last post on the topic. I don't mind what your expectations of me are, but you did open this thread requesting to have civil discussion so I at least expected you to have an interest in having a discussion. Some trolling is totally expected, but avoidance, deflection, and denial of facts is not what I was expecting.
Ah, more deflection. You brought up the economy and wanting to talk about the parties as teams. Are you able to finish this topic before we move on?
Why are you recapping 2017-19 policies while also telling me that Trump is not planning to use 2017-19 policies. Or are you under the impression that we are not under Trumps tax code right now?

Anyway, if you're going to continue to talk about 2017-19, then the very least you can do is respond to what I already said about it on Page 1 where I identified the negative items of Trumps economy. Let me add some more for you (only going to 2019, so PRE-COVID):
    Trump increased inflation.
Almost 2 million people lost health care under Trump
    Trade Deficit increase of 30%
Single family home prices went up 23%
Economic growth was good in 2018, but trending downward 2019 onward (meaning 2019 was notably worse than 2018 and 2020 was projected to continue a downward trend ignoring covid).
I have already provided this information on page 1, so I don't know what you're waiting for. Also, the discussion is about what Trump will do in the future to improve the economy, not about the past economy since we have already discussed that. Like I said above, I think I'll save any further responses for when you are ready or willing to have an actual discussion. Since the wording of my question was too subjective for you, I'll simplify it:
How will Trumps policies improve the economy?

I’m a major fan of this thread single handedly reviving the forums and basically being one big shouting match about two old American men (and now one less older American woman)

Booboo is just trolling, which is why he can't answer the question and keeps quoting the nonsense bits.

The only thing that this thread reaffirmed for me is how you Americans love to banter and butt heads despite knowing that nobody will budge.

(Un)fortunately, - depending on how you view it - I am not up-to-date or even close to remotely aware of the current state of America, nor do I know the slightest bit about its politics. As an outsider, this can arguably be seen as acceptable, however, I would like to get more in touch with what's going on and know at least the basics. So, if anyone can link me to educational material, that would be great. The only real news I get on American politics are articles from Bloomberg, Reuters, S&P, Fitch, Moody's, etc., primarily discussing things from a banker/economist point of view due to my job.

I'm intrigued by how shaken the markets will be during the American elections, especially since the US economy and the Federal Reserve have the largest influence on markets globally. The snap French parliament election shook European markets with volatility being at a high. Credit default score spreads rose and dropped day-on-day, and inversely so did share prices. Default risk increased and decreased too. Some markets outside of the Eurozone also took a damper due to the results. All I know is, on the day of the elections, I will not be looking forward to work because I will have a lot to do on that day lmao
