I'm a final year student in college right now and I combine part-time job and study. Sometimes I use help of writing service https://gpalabs.com/. They offer revision and editing services and can ensure that my writing adheres to the required formatting guidelines. Such writing services can be beneficial for getting support with research proposals or other writing tasks.

I'm currently attending university to earn my bachelor's degree in animation/intermedia, usually my day involves getting up, going to school and getting my work done and heading back home, I also do a lot of drawing and gaming in between whenever I have time.

My day revolves around Administrating the J&H community and ensuring that there are no rule breakers. Like Thanos, after a long day of work, I like to rest and relax - overlooking my fruits of labor by AFKing in FarmKing.

but fr, i’m an investment banker

Since this was a couple of years ago I wanted to come with an update:

    Weekdays:
6AM: Wake up - take a shower - get ready
    7.30AM: Go to school
    8.15AM: School start
    11.30AM-3.30PM: School end
4PM-7PM: I usually get home then eat a little bit then read books, work with music at home or hit the studio
8PM: Eat - play video games - brush my teeth - rate my productivity of the day out of 10
    10PM: Sleep

    Weekends and holidays:
    8AM: Wake up - take a shower
9AM: Chill in my bed for a little, planning out my day and checking notifications
10AM: Meditation for 15 minutes then 45 minutes reading
11AM-3PM: Around this time I’m in the gym, out with friends or doing productive things - depends on the mood
4PM: Probably playing video games or something
5PM: Eat, family time (usually on Saturdays)
    6PM-8PM: Work with music usually
8PM-10PM: This is different every week tbf so idk lol
10PM-12PM: Reading for 30 minutes to 1 hour depending if I’m tired or if the book is interesting and I end the day with rolling on my bed and watching YouTube or movies ‘till I fall asleep.

I was finding myself doing non-productive things a lot, so I’ve been tracking what I do on a daily for a couple of months to stay away from shit like scrolling on TikTok or doing stupid things that will not gain me anything. All this to work on becoming a better version of my self.

My day to day is typically very different so its hard to really put it into a schedule. In college as a senior just trying to finish up so I can go to pilot school and become a commercial pilot for one of the majors. Got the pleasure of being behind the yoke of a Cessna in the last year or so.

Know a friend of a friend who works 50-60 hours a week in NYC doing that (the investment banking part, haha). Hope you're not working yourself to death. Should be enjoying yourself otherwise with that salary though im assuming haha. Hope all is well.

I started reading this not realising this thread started in 2021.
It’s awesome to see that the people I’ve talked to years ago are still being around. Be it through casually living, just killing time, or pursuing their dreams. Such an incredible insight I did not think I'd ever get again.
    You are real people????

My days have been mostly centered around my work.
For the past two years I've been a software developer at a small company in a close-by city. It is an IT system company that mainly does networks, servers, security, etc, etc. But it also has a small developer section.
I was employed to replace a senior developer who is just done with everything (he is in his mid 60s) and now, I am the only developer on site, accompanied by another freelancer living in a different state.
I mainly focus on developing / optimising websites and shops of customers.
On the occasion I get to actually develop software for analysing and displaying company stuffs.
Money-wise, I would say it is good enough for a single man and his car wife.

Earlier this year I was made aware of the fact I am not really pursuing life, I was only ever in work mode, made excuses because of work and just didn't focus on myself.
Since then I have been gathering ideas and did the following:
    • I have been going to the gym for frequently
    • I started learning French again on Duolingo
    • I bought a guitar that I have been practicing infrequently
    • I have been traveling more
So yes, my dream is to be the cool, rich, single uncle with many hobbies, who is a better inspiration to his nephews than the parents are.
And maybe be a successful developer at a bigger company. How cool would it be to develop the technology responsible for the downfall of humanity.

I start my day with an early morning routine around 6:30 AM. After a quick workout, I enjoy a coffee while skimming through emails and organizing my tasks for the day. By 8:30 AM, I’m usually at the office or in my home workspace, setting up for a productive day.
By mid-morning, I’m diving into a key project or report. This could mean reviewing a presentation, analyzing performance metrics, or preparing for a client meeting. I focus on tracking our team’s progress toward our goals, looking for any areas where we can improve.

Can’t really put a schedule to my work week as I work in a call centre for an ISP (internet service provider) and have been doing so for almost a year (next week it’ll be one year actually!). Did sales for 6 months and got promoted to tech support in late June, which is a much better position and allows you to move between different fields later on. I’m aiming to be a network admin within the next 2-3 years which would make me, along with other people in that sector, responsible to look after majority of the optic fibre network in the country.

But back to the present, it’s a draining job, mentally. You’re working for 8 hours a day, listening to people sometimes yell at you because their internet / TV / whatever isn’t working. Other days I have to explain why the cost of the monthly bill is as high as it is. But the coworkers make up for it. We share similar interests and the company goes a long way to make us all, especially call centre agents, comfortable.

I work random time shifts, one day I’ll do a 7am-3pm shift, next day I’m doing 3pm-11pm shifts, people who have worked longer than me do night shifts, which is from 11pm-7am every night for a whole week. I’ve never been a person to pull all-nighters, so I’m not gonna be that excited whenever I get scheduled for that.
Weekend are almost never off, I maybe get a Saturday or Sunday off but rarely both days. I can probably count on both hands how many times I was off both days this year.

What I love about this job is I can work from home pretty much whenever I want. I tend to focus better when I’m WFH anyway, as there’s no interruptions - no coworkers going past you, trying to talk to you, so my productivity just jumps up.

I went into the magical wonderful field of jewelry repair, where I now do goldsmithing as a career but like.. the really lame version of it where I modify ring sizes and set stones.
Ironically something I didn't even know was a real career path until I was directly asked if I wished to do it, so it's pretty cool it's a trade you can kind of just pick up with no needed prior knowledge.

Anyways my life is pretty much work/sleep/occasionally draw since I actually stuck to that
