    What do you mean? We have a massive cane farm, a no red stone farm, and we don’t even use it until we get harvester hoes. All our value is from spawners and we’re third? Explain?

    We have now implemented a custom plugin that automatically breaks all redstone clocks that are pulsating more than 20 times within a 10 second period.

    This current setting pretty much only affects the absolute worst of the worst farm designs that rely on so-called "rapid pulsars" aka burn-out torches. No sane crop farm design should ever need to pulse more than 20 times per 10 seconds.

    So far TPS has shot up by 75%

    For anyone that has a farm that has been affected by this: You can convert your farm to one that uses observers instead with relatively little effort.

    if your island needs 1000 burn-out torches + single pistons to "pulse" pumpkins that grow once every 30 minutes you are an inconsiderate peepee thank you for lagging everyone

    The next biggest cause of lag is these pumpkin/melon farms that use observers but activate 15 pistons every single time only 1 pumpkin grows. See pic:

    We could reduce the lag from these farms by 15-fold by making observers only give 3 redstone power instead of 15.

    However, this would break any redstone circuits that rely on observers powering redstone wire more than 3 blocks far. Of course you could easily work around this though by just placing a repeater.

    Would like to know people's thoughts on this potential change.

    Honestly if that's what the majority of lag is caused by, then I absolutely think it's a good change. Just as long as the redstone can still reach the piston it needs to, it'll be fine.

    Yes, TPS is semi-stable. The above suggestion by Harry would likely make it very stable (not perfect, but much better).

    obvi I'm only one person but the way it is rn is perfectly fine, like I'm breaking blocks in the air that earlier today took 4 seconds to register, which now are registering right away in the blink of an eye

    Avg between 14-15 right now.

    Sure, for now. To me, the question is about taking steps to mitigate risk of future setbacks in exchange for basically nothing. To me, it's worth it :)

    Yes, looking at the farm in the screenshot, it is really unnecessary to fire a ton of pistons for 1 pumpkin. Pumpkins/melons are not that difficult to farm even: Just have a switch to fire pistons and you don't even need observers. "But Pug, we want to do things automatically", pushing a button and collecting the pumpkins is really not that hard. Yes it is semi automatic, but it really is just a small bit of effort.

    To the change of making the output power from 15 to 3, this sounds good. Some complicated farms might not work with this change, but I don't think skyblock needs complicated farms in order to make a lot of money. 15 to 3 sounds kinda drastic though, maybe make it 5 or 7? And if this proves to still cause too much lag, then maybe make it 3.

    this has now been implemented

    also redstone clock limits have now been made more strict from max 20 -> 15 pulses per 10 seconds as some "burn-out torch" farms are still slipping through.

    item despawn rate will be lowered from 60 to 30 seconds next restart

    collector beacons have been added to the crates

    disabled piston animations for pumpkin/melon blocks

    blocked pistons pushing air
