    a masterpiece of slow cinema. not for everyone, but i find it absolutely stunning. immersive atmospheres that leave you with a surreal aftertaste. a philosophical and spiritual experience (arguably very pretentious) but i can't help but love it with all my heart. no other work of art manages to make me feel the same emotions as this film.

    My favorite movie of all time is either Friday or Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood. Yeah that's the name of the movie lol. I like Friday cuz first time I watched it I literally couldn't stop laughing. It has a lot of good scenes and it has Ice Cube and Chris Tucker. Not much to say it's a classic.

    The reason why I like Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood is because it had a lot of action in it, it had great and funny actors, it was very funny as well and I love hood movies I can just sit and watch them over and over again and don't get bored of em.

    It's a flat-out masterpiece. Visually arresting, heartbreaking in parts, all alongside an interesting assortment of characters portrayed with authenticity. Kobayashi, uniquely, presents samurai honour as an arbitrary concept and criticises the hypocritical authority which abuses it.

    Why are movies so good? Why are there so many? It's a shame. I waste more time watching shitty action movies, when stuff in this thread is about.

    Have you seen Reservoir Dogs? I've always loved both movies, but for some reason this one's always been way more rewatchable personally. Dare I even say... more quotable too.

    Even though it's technically not a cinematic masterpiece or whatever, my favorite movie has always been Rebel Without a Cause. It's definitely one of my several comfort movies, no idea why to be completely honest! I often fantasize about this mansion scene.


    I'm also a HUUGE fan of Amores Perros, though I've just watched it recently for the first time ever.

    Great soundtrack, great stories. Made me go :0 (omg the Chivo storyline made me go ballistic I fucking love it)

    Finally I cannot forget about Teeth... :)

    I love any Ghibli movie but I’d have to say my current favorite is Tangled because I relate to Repunzel a lot lol wow that’s SAD but it’s okay dw

    I've always been a Harry Potter fan but if i had to choose one of the movies it would be Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix, i don't really know why its exactly that movie... but for some reason i never get bored of it. I also really love A Nightmare Before Christmas as well as a movie that i recently watched called Knives Out.

    Idk why you can't lmao my notifs said you quoted me. But yeah I can tell lol these are just the movies that stick out to me anyway it doesn't mean I haven't watched any classics they're just not the first thing that came to mind. I find the variety in these answers quite great
