Getting Wisdom Teeth Removed

I know a large part of the community is in their late teens/adulthood so I’m guessing at least a few people on here have gotten their wisdom teeth removed at some point.
I’m getting mine taken out in like 2 weeks and I’m not worried for the actual operation, but I’m curious as to how it’ll be afterwards.
Please feel free to reply with your experiences so I’ll have an idea as to what to expect :>
Also I don’t know if this’ll change anything but I have an extra wisdom tooth??? Has anyone had that before as well?? I don’t know anyone else with more than 4.

Depends on the way your tooth is, my right side was an easier one to get too.
It was exposed and stand up the only thing they needed to do was cut open the gum and pull the tooth out, after they stitched it back up.
It felt painful and I don't suggest planning anything after, I struggled with pain and eating for a couple of days because of the swelling so I just stayed home and rested.

Now my left one.. horror story time gather round kids.
My left one was buried underneath gum and jaw bone, it was also rotten and sideways rotting which is caused by the fact you can't reach it so you can't do anything to it but it will still get dirty and start to rot.
They had to cut open the gum, and then drill out a pretty big piece of bone in my jaw to get to the tooth.
Then once they're in they grab it with a tool and yank on it like they're forced too by gun point, both times done with local anethesia but mean I still felt it. Fun part was, he had like a pointy tool that opened up and then could grab the tooth. Except it didn't grab on well and he pulled it up causing it to close up and become a sharp pointy tool that jammed into the roof of my mouth, which wasn't ?subdued? so I felt that

Anyway, the left one I suffered a day or two from pain and I still have some pain in my jaw from time to time because of the fact the bone is restoring itself there now. It's not bad or anything, but you do feel it. Just like the first one, don't do much and just stay home to recover.
You can't bend over, or lift something heavy that will cause lots of pain.

 

Took me like 2 hours cuz they screwed up and had to not drink or eat anything hot for almost a month

Afterward, I couldn't eat for a few hours and there's a lot of bleeding but that was it. The actual operation took under 5 minutes and I didn't feel any pain during or after. Hope it goes well! :)

I got all four of mine taken out in January 2019. To be honest I barely remember what went down. I just remember being hooked up on some sort of machine, and before I got knocked out the surgeon was like, "You're gonna fly!!!!"
Once I woke up I definitely did not feel a single thing, until I stood up. I had so much difficulty trying to walk to the wheelchair haha
Anyway I got home and an hour has passed after the whole extraction. I was still feeling fine until the anesthesia wore off and I started sobbing over my yogurt, full on crying. I was in soooo muuuch pain ahahahaha

I got to miss school for a while, my mouth bled for an entire week, I looked like Minecraft Steve for a good week as well. Overall it was a great experience. I was given a syringe to clean out the holes, and quite frankly I don't think there's anything more disgusting than wet scrambled egg in your mouth.

I definitely suggest eating a bunch of soft, cold stuff (yogurt, smoothies, purees, etc etc) and having an ice pack with you after your extraction.

the only thing that hurt more than the extraction itself was the bill that came afterward q-q

nah that shit was fucking traumatizing they had me strapped down and shit so i wouldnt punch one of the surgeons while i was knocked out

like rigor mortis except i was under heavy anesthesia B)
