what do y'all think about masks? do you wear them? obvi talkin about the pandemic me? yes, I do wear them as often as possible whenever I'm out in public. I honestly don't see the big deal about them; hell, they allow me to go weeks without shaving, which is a mega dub in itself
One of brothers and two of my sister in laws work as genetic scientists. My one sister in law who is a generic engineer. She never flinches, never gets upset about anything. Covid has her super paranoid, which is not normal for her. She says masks always in public spaces, wash hands always, don't have to go out unless absolutely have to. I trust her with my kids lives. If she says to wear a mask, I wear a mask. So yeah, that's how I feel about masks.
yeah I wear masks Shaving makes the contact worse, you're better off shaving if you want to make it safer. But no not really, don't feel the need too and I know that's ignorant and whatever not but meh.
I wear masks as much as possible (although I often forget and then I feel horrible about it) because I’m at risk for serious health problems if I get covid. I don’t know all the facts behind masks and whether they do much or not, but if health officials say to wear them, I’ll wear them. ++Some of mine have cute little patterns on them so I don’t mind them :)
Why not? It makes you feel safer, at least. In Hong Kong, people have always worn masks as a considerate preventative measure, and they also stop you from touching your face which can spread diseases. If the science bloke on TV says we should, I'll do it, if he doesn't, I won't.
yeah id recommend wearing a mask I personally dont wear one simply because I already had it but I still wash my hands a lot and try to maintain distance with strangers
Honestly depends where you live and the culture, but no I only wear a mask when it is necessary. Australian law says we are required to wear a mask if we cannot maintain a 1.5m distance between people.
In all seriousness, we never really had the time to wear a mask. The only time community transmission was present was during the super strict lockdown we had, so people we're only going out for essentials (and even then we had pretty limited community transmission), so by the time people started going back to work and ships started reopening, we didn't have any community transmission and hence no need for masks.
i hate wearing masks so much but ive never left the house without one in the past 5 months bc im not stupid also live in america lolz
well in nyc, you have to wear a mask in most places in public. in the park, in a store, in restaurants, it's pretty much mandatory. even if i am going somewhere where i won't come in contact with any people (like i'm walking my dog) i still wear a mask because better safe than sorry, it doesn't hurt anyone (:
Of course I do, everyone should? Why would anyone want to risk their own health and safety as well as others? If it's not mandatory or not really needed I can see that but I'd advise even than because you might think you are safe but you will never know if anyone might be infected, even people who don't have any signs of corona
I feel like this whole mask debate made me realize the huge flaws in America as people seem to favor "freedom" over science and facts. Like the reason, people hate masks is because they feel like they are being forced to do so and somehow that's an infringement on our rights and freedom. I'm sorry but at this point in time with a pandemic not wearing a mask makes you a danger to society and others. I really don't care about you if you don't wear one, I'm more concerned about the people around you. So yeah I wear a mask whenever I'm in public and can't stay 6 feet away. Also obviously this doesn't apply to countries where the pandemic isn't bad lol
I don't go outside so I don't have a mask haha, but my family does when they go out to go and shop for groceries/work. :]
Dont go out much so no real need. If I did go out it would make sense to wear a mask for 2 reasons 1. There's a global pandemic 2. There's a global fucking pandemic Please just wear a mask, it's not hard and it saves people's lives. Imagine you got the virus because someone wasn't wearing a mask. It's selfish not to so just do it.
