I spent much of pre-teen years doing shit no one else my age would even think about. This would eventually transform into a career very early in my life. As some of you know, I just signed my first editing contract at the age of 16 (useless, I know). My job is to provide multiple edited videos a week to certain channels. Let it be known this had been an early intention of mine ever since I began editing compilations, SFX edits, animations, whatever. I had a few help me along on my journey. I began this journey nearish the age of eleven editing animated Minecraft channel intros. You know... the type you'd see in 2015-16 with bass boosted music and Minecraft characters fighting and then a massive sign with the channels name in sync with the music. (I think a few channels went back to look at some intros that are so bad, they're funny). Let it be embarrassingly known; I sucked at the animation part. All my animations came from templates that were free to use. I only did the cool music and high tier S_Shake. (Shhh... my free clients don't need to know this). Of course, doing this stuff required some extensive programs... many of which were run on a non-up-to-par laptop that eventually couldn't handle the heat. Nonetheless, these programs led me to a long future in video editing. Not so long after I stopped animating, I made my first edit(s). The first Minecraft edit I ever made actually has it's own thread here on the forums. (after you read this thread, check it out. or check it out now I can't stop you either way). Looking back at it I can notice countless mistakes that will be improved in the future. My interest in this skyrocketed. I eventually persuaded @Embracive (not really, but I DID edit before he did) to edit alongside me. He soon lost interest in Minecraft and switched to COD. I was very hesitant to do the same but eventually broke loose. This was one of the best decisions I ever made. I branched into other early games, including Fortnite, COD, and CS:GO. (I won't force you to watch the shitty ones, but all my edits are located on my public channel). Making these only boosted my interest. I wanted to do more; maybe even turn it into a career. It all somehow started here. <3
Real cool stuff man. It's awesome to see people who took this game and turned it into something more. Minecraft has brought video editing, programming and other technological interests to a lot of kids. I got into software development through Minecraft and later in my career found out that many other people I like and even work with also started from this game.
make it very subtle and it'll pay off in quality, trust me the transitions look so beautiful when you do >.<
THIS IS GONNA BE THE BEST DAY OF MY i've began editing my own videos and i'm excited to learn a lot, and reading this thread motivates me way more i hope everything goes well soap
