what's something that makes you happy?

a long time ago i made a thread asking what was something that made people happy or something they were proud of. i figured since we're all still stuck at home for the most part left with nothing to do i would create the thread again to get some good vibes flowing.

what's something that makes you happy? or something that you're proud of?

for me, i'm proud to say that i have completed high school and hopefully will have a proper graduation ceremony in late july. i'm really looking forward to it. my accomplishments so far make me really happy and proud of myself. i'm also excited and ready to start college in the fall.

 

I'm proud to say I've escaped mental health issues, they got so bad and I ended up in hospital but luckily I'm on the way out. I'm proud of my progress in all of my hobbies and I'm happy that I am happy and healthy and my friends/family are as well

 

Playing Minecraft makes me happy.

 

I believe that I have been able to make it a lot farther in life than I would have predicted as soon as I graduated from high school. Two years of college have now been completed and I plan on graduating early, with the class of 2021 which is truly exciting but very scary. I'm also in a happy and healthy relationship in which I feel very lucky to have in my life, 100%. I don't know where I would be if he didn't have my back for certain issues such as my anxiety. My friendships online and in real life have increased which has activated my social butterfly status and I truly can't wait to see all of my friends again once quarantine is over. It all just takes time and hope to get through it.

I really take pride in how I got off of my ass and found online work at the age of 16. What I'm doing will hopefully help me out in future endeavors especially in regard to work and college. Otherwise, @emmau makes me happy <3.

 

talking to my friends, playing games and making music makes me happy :p

 

I usually write songs (but I never produce or record them) to keep me happy to escape from reality or I usually just listening to music (like Duffy) to make me happy. Aside from that, going on this server also makes me happy in every way.

honestly this might sound really stupid but...
im super proud of who i am today. let me break it down: in middle school and my freshman year of high school i had no self confidence, i didn’t believe in myself and i always thought that i’d be alone. i always thought i had nothing outside of my online friends and video games. but now, ive proved myself to be wrong.

over the past three years i’ve worked on my confidence, made some incredible friends in my school, found someone that i’ve been dating for almost 7 months now and most importantly, im graduating. after four years of dealing with stress, drama, and tons of schoolwork, my hard work finally paid off and now i can proudly say that im graduating this year and heading off into college in august!

this may seem like normal things to some people but i didn’t have the healthiest mental state four or five years ago. i NEVER thought i’d be able to do this and look at me now, doing what i thought i couldn’t do.

Making music and decorating something makes me happy. I also like to help out people :)

 

music makes me incredibly happy. if it wasn't for some of my favourite songs I wouldn't know where I would be today. I've discovered an enormous amount of music genres and artists over the last 3 years and I'm glad that I did. some songs uplift me, give me strength or simply distract me from bad thoughts.

other than that, I'm very proud that I've started watching TV shows in English when I was 12 (foreign TV shows are always dubbed here in Germany), which made my process of learning English much easier and quicker.

I've boosted my confidence a lot by calling with friends on Discord for hours and hours and meeting new people. back when I was 13, it was hard for me to actually look someone in the eyes or keeping a conversation running, this has changed so much in the last years. this was a huge step for me that I never thought I could take, but I did and now I'm here.

other things that make me happy include video games, food, my friends, among other things people above me have already mentioned.

 

having social contact at less than 6ft from another individual makes me happy

needless to say i am currently very fucking depressed

 

music, my bass and the person who taught me make me happy (:

also the little things like m&ms, guitar hero, and art help me be happier

it's been very depressing lately but these things make me forget that i'm stuck inside all day and i'm so grateful for them!

 

shifts with my friend at work :)) we're getting paid to fuck around pretty much. getting compliments from customers is fun too, dealing with creeps not so much!

and dinner on weekends with my family, since we never get the opportunity to do so on weekdays

ah! and my pets. i like waving at them

 

Maybe a little bit off-topic, since I don't want to share my whole life story

But this thing... This blub always puts a smile on my face, and I can't explain why
