Creative Reset

Boy I'm sure glad I'm retired from minecraft and in no way invested in any of this

*Suddenly remembers the promise to finish Echo Castle and the fact that I haven't been able to get on for just a few hours to wrap it up due to irl crisis with my job and bills, that compounded by the fact that I had the opportunity to finish the project once and for all but due to a communication error I left it unfinished and am now unable to complete it and likely won't be able to until I find a new job but hey kids it's harder than it looks to just up and get hired somewhere especially on such short notice, thanks Kroger, you really fucked me here with your shit ass nothing pay and taking me from 5 days a week to 2 you stupid fat fucks*

Since there were 3 creative servers, are we getting 3 plots by default or just one?

 

I honestly don't really know how to feel about this. I am both sad and happy that creative is getting reset. It's unbelievable to think that after so many years, creative will be restarted. I forged too many friendships on Creative. My love for ItsJerryAndHarry started from Creative. I built extraordinary structures with friends and bonded with each other. I'm glad that after all these years, we will be able to start afresh once again, just like in the past. Also pleased that we will be able to download the world. At least I won't feel more saddened since i'll still have my builds.

Rest In Peace Old Creative. We will miss you. <3

I had built this rainbow dash pixel art.. You should have seen it, it was insane.
I built it out of blue wool, with inlaid white wool. It was fitted with half blocks, I smoothed it out with stairs for days..
Until it was smooth as glass.

Then I rubbed all of the wool with a wet sponge so it was nice and dark.
It even smelled good, you'd put your nose in it and breathe it in..
It was perfect.

Unless we have a bidding war or something yes (the owners could claim all plots in a 3x3 radius and give them away also)

I kind of disagree with this reset, although I don't have any information on which topics were covered.

There is no denying that the creative server will probably gain a boost in players once this is done, but there is no saying how long that will last.
In my eyes, I see more risk than gain in resetting this particular server.

Critical points that stand out;
- The current builds in creative are good motivation for other players to dedicate themselves in building something nice
- There is a risk that a majority of players won't finish their builds on the new server. Entering a world with empty, unfinished plots will not draw a lot of attention

- Active players who at this moment own a plot may not have the same 'drive' to build something new again​

- By delaying this reset until October, servers are practically useless for a whole month. Players who are currently interested in making their own plot may lose interest just as fast

 

you actually make some good points. I think the main issue, right now, is creative2/3 not being used and it's currently the easiest way to merge the creative population.

i personally think the best solution would be to transfer one of the creative worlds (possibly creative1) to plotsquared. i don't know if this is possible though as Harry did not answer my question about it and it would possibly anger creative2/3 main players, while they are a minority.

however, this solution is currently the easiest. it can't keep going like this and this is currently the best solution that won't take hours upon hours of work and testing.

this may be a risk, but I have doubts it will turn out bad. people will get spawn plots and will try to make them look good to "fit in" like in the previous creative servers.
