[VOTING OPEN!] Announcement: The J&H Awards - Winter & Spring 2018 - September 1st

please read my message, i'm trying to find a way to make fun events on J&H. i'm seeing right now that the awards part of the event won't work but i'm still doing the event to try to see what's fun and what could work for future events. if you're going to keep being negative and toxic on my thread and taking shit out of context, I'm going to kindly ask you to fuck off as well as all of your friends backing you. don't like my event, don't participate. as simple as that.

I gave you a suggestion and an opinion. Since you were apart of something clearly SOOO imperfect, then you should be able to accept criticism. Since you're now stooping to my level and being negative and toxic and taking what I said out of context, I am kindly asking you to fuck off and grow a backbone.
Don't like opinions? Don't participate somewhere that has them.

 

i didn't even take the time to finish reading your suggestion at first as I figured it would've been the same as the two statements above and below and didn't want to put the energy towards reading it. that's why my response was so negative. im sorry for answering in an impulsive way. i think you're totally right about that, but i doubt awards part will even work anymore in the future so that's pretty useless imo. as i said in my first comment, I will try to make this a fun event regardless of the quite stale voting.

 

Maybe the next awards could include a system where people can suggest nominees in the thread as long as there is a given reason. That way even if a player isn't known, anything they've done to deserve an award won't be overlooked (possibly with proof). If this would cause too much spam then people would have to dm a judge their suggestion for the judge to post instead.

E.g. I remember last awards I was disappointed to see ForevorParamount not get nominated for either most influential or kind even though he had welcomed every new person who had made an introduction thread for several months straight at the time, probably just because people hadn't noticed. It's probable this sort of system would be more welcoming to these sorts of background efforts.

 

I'm so sorry for forgetting about the awards being at 1:30 EST, in my mind, I was sure it was at 6:30 EST. The new time is 7PM EST, TONIGHT because it will be the easiest for me.

There will be honoring of the winners, playing minigames, karaoke and much more! Make sure to be here and sorry again for putting the wrong time!

It did but it was an utter clusterfuck lmao
Barely anyone came and there was this one user that I will refer to as “skank” who almost ruined everything
Also the mini games being removed affected the event because he wanted to play them
No one was really cooperating since no one really took it seriously

It was good for a laugh or two but @hmj became depressed and decided he won’t do these anymore, it ended prematurely but was still kinda fun though. No one cared about the awards though if that’s what interests you.
