ok, so. one of my friends got me into this music genre and, well, its not for everyone. choose a song and listen to the full thing, you'll get the idea pretty quickly. Spoiler: links if anyone likes it (which is almost 0 chance), and wants to hear more, i have plenty. pm me.
It's called vaporwave and it was this god forsaken website that brought me into it. It was the only music genre that I liked because it was literally low-effort shitposting for your ears, and yet the cadences of the elongated 80's synths brought out a sense of euphoria that would stay with me forever. That and the aesthetics made me feel a sense of n o s t a l g i a that most people feel when they listen to this. dds is the type of vaporwave that makes me really uncomfortable for some odd reason, but what really grabs me is the soul-mixed-with-windows-vista-glitch-noises used in many of their songs. I want to chug Tylenol.
@TheAverageJo its not vapourwave. it's a different genre. take the 'ambient' and 'lowercase' for example. lowercase stems off of ambient but has a completely different feel. same with dds. stems from vapourwave but is very much different. take anything from the dream catalog (https://dreamcatalogue.bandcamp.com/) and see if its the same as vapourwave. you mean vapourwave or dds
