Solar Eclipse

So, as everyone hopefully knows, we are having a full solar eclipse in the United States. How does everyone plan to watch the eclipse? I personally have no idea what I'm gonna do, as I don't have any glasses to watch it with.

 

I'm gonna try to catch the partial eclipse or what I can see of it and then watch a better view of it on youtube or something.

 

I'm going to be down the shore for the eclipse so I'm sure I'll have a nice view lol

Where I am from its about a 90% solar eclipse, so hopefully I will just go outside and see it. Kinda bummed that im not in the total eclipse area but at least I can see something.

 

Yea same, I'm Northeast and can't get the whole thing
Nonetheless I'm going to an observatory for free glasses now lol

 

@Heatdude Da Waffle will have a nice view, while I will be having 85-90% view. smh heat whenever you log in

I'll go outside and look at the sun and burn my eyes. Sounds fun right?

 

95% view from my city. If I didn't have class today, I would be driving two hours to the line of totality. Shame.

I saw it. Nothing happened, shame

 

Saw it, drove from Wisconsin to Tennessee to see this thing.

Witnessed the day turn to night in the matter of 10 minutes. I was in the path of Totality (100% coverage) and oh my god.. it was so beautiful when it happened. Something you just can't describe because it was breathtaking.

 

Dang, wish I could see it like that. I have some friends who bought the glasses and drove down to DC and said they didn't really see anything.

 

I can still see.

In other words, nothing happened.

 

We got the special glasses to be able to look at the sun and albeit the eclipse not having a major effect on the daylight where I am, it was still a pretty cool thing to experience with my family. We got to see the moon cover the sun and everything :P

 

I stared at it and didn't die. I want a refund
