I've just about had enough

Yes, if I have to, I'd agree on many parts of this, but disagree on a couple. The increase in rule breaking... I don't remember a report in the ban appeals section in the 1 1/2 months I've spent on the old forums. However, this community will never become the old times, and trying to will result in a simple consequence. Also, the reports. In 1 year ~6,000 legit reports, compared to 5 months ~11,000 legit reports. We are still a kind, rule following, responsible, mature, and caring community, but we can also be a raging, spamming, rule-breaking, and flaming at the same time. As I can see, the people you labeled "nice" are ranked somehow(donation, etc.) There are plenty of kind defaults on the server, it's just the raging defaults that mask them. To sum it up, nostalgia will be there, but it shouldn't be discouraging you. I mean, good memories shouldn't be causing bad behaviors in the first place.

 

Ok. I get it. Yes, there is a lot of rule breakers on the server and forums. But do we really need to keep complaint threads about it? Can't we just think positively?

 

Sorry for any confusion caused. I do know some non-ranks that are nice. I was just stating the most well-known ones.

I get what you're saying, but we can't go to our former glory. If anything, many of us have bettered ourselves. People see what they want to see, and hear what the want to hear(Quote from TKAMB), so I do think that posts like these just mean the author is a bit negative about the community, no offense :/

Well, we rarely have flame wars anymore, and things have really become a bit more peaceful around here, so I see no problem.

 

I agree with most of this, and I am not offended. Though there is the occasional (but very rare) major flame war.

 

I agree with a lot of this. I don't really have much to say about it.
I guess the forums will never be what it used to be but we try our best to control it.
I do my best to make it happy environment for all of you guys.
There's just been so many posts like this.. most of us already get it. :\

 

Yep. You're one of the few moderators that at least tries to do their job well (I'm not going to name the people in the list of moderators that do/don't do their job well as it might offend some people) and I am aware that there are lots of posts like this. But the community doesn't just need to "get it". They need to make the changes that should be made. Although I'm not one to judge, I think the community is going more downhill than uphill. The only good thing thus far is that they are getting a lot more staff, meaning less rule breakers (I hope).

 

I've never been on the old fourms but the reson these forms are upsetting but it has more people , more people = more trolls AND more nice people so yea

 

Hm.
The old community was excellent and I will miss it dearly. If I could go back to when it existed, then I would in a heartbeat. It was excellent there.
That being said, we will never see the old community again.
I understand what you are saying and I agree that it is necessary to make amends. However, I believe that such is not as necessary as it once was. The community will not change and we will have to live with its current state. As I always used to say, eso si que es. It is what it is.
So yes, I do agree with the general concept. However, let's look on the bright side.
1. Post count is gone, creating a more equal and less competitive environment.
2. Helpers are being promoted, who I trust will (I hope) keep the forums in good shape.
3. Hey, most of our friends are still here :)
So maybe this isn't all "Everything is awesoooooooome everything is cool when you're part of a team" (no no one likes Lego movie here wow cold guys cold)
But I would say that everything is pretty nice right now :D

No, theyre not awesooooome like they were in January 2013
But theyre better in new ways like:
We have new friends, some even turning into staff members for being such nice and loved people: no homo
We also have new additions too, like Staff apps which satisfy many people even though they never come on after
One more thing. Nice, satisfied with the community members. Im obviously one of those with that thread i made a week ago. Youre obviously one of those people who looks on the darker side.I dont really care about what it was a year or two ago. You need to accept what the present brings you. If you dont like it then you can just leave. I find these forums perfectly fine. If you dont like them find a different forum like hypixel. I like this forum and most others do too.

 

I like Lego movie too anyways I would goto the old Fourms I miss it so much I only had 1 day on it

My thoughts exactly. It's just that some people just can't follow rules...

 

These are the kind of threads that contribute to the "failing community" largely. If people started thinking more optimistically, then it would be a lot better.

 

I'll just remove this thread as it is getting a lot of hate...
