'The server is getting better'

I think you shouldn't actually talk about Hypixel.
This is the ItsJerryandHarry server, we should only think about that, not about a different server, if you want to talk about a different server, then do it on that server. Yeah sure people copy games from other servers, idk, I'm just a Minecraft Player and can't do anything and won't do anything. Just play the damn game. Copied or not, none of our business.

Not gonna talk about Treepid stuff, because why should I, Idc, it's his own fault that he didn't understand a no and got permabanned for it. None of my business.

1) First, don't compare IJAH and Hypixel, because: Hypixel has much more minigames, and more minigames means a "better server", so obviously Hypixel has more players.
2) And Hypixel has more original minigames, and tbh I do think J&H copied some, for example, anyone else noticed that HC looks really alike to Minecraft Party? but, creating a minigame takes a while and you don't know how long J&H thought about the idea of creating HC, meybe they even thought about it before Minecraft Party's owners did, we'll never know.
3) All the fights about Treepid are pathetic. Mind your own business...

I do agree that J&H need to choose people they trust, but let's think about it.
Someone, which they really trust makes a mod app, but his app is lacking info. And someone else, someone they don't know anything about him, makes a really impressive app, with tons of info. But of course, they will choose the person will less info but they're trusting him more than the other one, and with all my respect to their decisions, this is really not fair. So because they don't know me well, no matter how much effort I put into my app, I get denided? sorry for saying this, but what the hell.
Yep, that's pretty much what I have to say.

EDIT: and about Lila, Mappy, you said by yourself that she isn't active on the chat and she don't have much time for her friends, have you ever considered her work? you only know what's on your screen, you never know what's on her's. She's probably busy with tons of people asking her questions/people that need help, and she's doing her job so she don't have much time to talk and do stuff with her friends.
Also, the only example you gave was Lila, have you seen Marco's behaviour? he didn't change at all, meybe Lila just takes this seriously, and there's nothing wrong about that, it just means she's doing her job well.

Augh, Can we all just forget about this? I mean... I don't want to make this worse but... this is the past... we need to forget it and get back on track with our lives. :S

 

Also, idk why people are making negative threads.
Saying that ''the server has become worse'' only makes it worse.
And to me, even when making a thread about only negative stuff about the server, makes it more worse.
Why not keep the negativity to theirselves?

 

Helpers are OP - I really agree. I never thought the helpers would get ANY special abilities.

Favoritism - Sometimes peolpe can't help but do it.

Treepid situation - ...

Staff and maturity - Don't see a problem here.

Overall, the situation isn't the owners' fault. It's because of the expanding community adding new immature members, who in turn change the opinion of people for the worse. J&H can't stop that. It is what it is.

 

I understand Map's point of view, but I also agree that this is just adding fuel to the fire. I know Map isn't trying to piss anyone off here, but I can also understand what Animoes is trying to say.

My suggestion is, the forum is shut down for a short while, and after that period of time, they can be more strict in terms of flame wars etc. Perhaps the helper rank could be useful for that, after all. Not trying to put pressure on the admins and owners, but I think it's a good idea.

 

Shut down is never the solution. The forums aren't here for chatting and stuff related, it's also here to report hackers and ask questions, so shutting down the forums for a while will be a bad idea...

 

True, but there could be other ways to report silly bitches and ask questions.

I'm sorry I said something different on Skype that I told you, didn't really think before I said it. We, the community, have to stop making a drama, about a little thing, why can't we just forget the stuff that happened in the past, people did wrong, and keep the negativity to ourselves?

You know, I think because of that, is only making the server more worse.

WE are here because we like ItsJerryandHarry's videos, or like their server, there are many different reasons that why we are here. We have to make it fun here, not making dramas.

 

What needs to happen, is the owners looks at a couple of my points said in the thread and fixes them, eg, the op helpers.

 

It won't get better if people remain stuck in the past.

 

Ok, so I agree halfway. A lot of my friends, ever since they became some kind of staff or something haven't been as easy to talk to. Most people actually pull away from me who are in the position and limit conversation. I understand they can't do favoritism, but why don't they want to talk to friends? I admit, I felt left out because they were talking to a lot of people much more who were donators/'popular' on the server whereas before, I spent so much time with them just talking.

I personally think about Marco being staff, he'd make a wonderful helper, not just because were friends. His application WAS shorter than what I personally thought they would want, but he has been here for a while and never really got into any conflicts and was always generally helpful.
Lila, she's just adjusting to the position and I think she is scared that they'll think she does favoritism. I personally think she is really nice and has a lot of great potential.

I, myself, have personal issues so I kind of feel like I know what Treepid is feeling, and most people say 'well it isn't an excuse to act like ____ or do _____'. It isn't an excuse but it doesn't help. Things like depression seriously play with emotions and feelings and we are all human. If you are sad/mad/stressed, you tend to lash out at people, or have bad thoughts about not others, but yourself. Depression is a different thing then being just being sad because 'your bf broke up with you boohoo'.

I think they should have more things then /warn and /kick but Social spy is kind of OP. I'll be talking to my friend through /msg about the weirdest thing and I'll suddenly get a message from someone saying /m rainbowshim heheh you like potatoes or some thing involving the (not so) private convo I'm having with my friend about potatoes and it just annoys me.

Now these are all my personal opinions, so don't take these as facts and I'm not saying everyone feels this way and it's fine if you disagree, but it is how I personally feel

Likely including most of the members who replied to this thread.

Anyway, in this case it wouldn't work. No avail would come out of shutting it down now, the reasoning is a bit off.

We can't. It's like there's a cog missing. Everything keeps turning, yet the other side remains still. This isn't the first time we have had problems. Unless the owners do something soon, it isn't going to stop...

 

About Social Spy.
Social spy is giving to our Helpers to pick out the conversations that shouldn't happen on our server.
Example : Bullying , advertising in /msg etc etc.
Our Helpers are new and still learning. I made a thread after I saw this one for all Helpers that has important points about Social Spy and more. Something is done about this as I dont accept what they did with Social spy.

About ''Favoring'' Helpers.
There are some people that are Helper now that I talked with before we even started taking Helpers.
But this doesn't mean we ''Favored'' ANYONE.
There was Staff trying to help others get a staff rank, but this had NO I repeat, NO use.
Helpers were chosen in Polls by our staff, after the winner came out Jerry and Harry would discuss if they think its the right choice too. What I know if Jerry and Harry didn't talk to those people before.
So NO Favoring in picking staff happend. Everyone had a equal chance of becomming one.
People like to think that we do this, but really we dont.
We also tell our staff not to pick Friends that need help over another member that asked for help first.
Everyone on this server is equal when it comes to asking for help, even if they have a rank.

About the entire Treepid situation that happend on Teamspeak.
I didn't make the decision to do this infront of everyone else.
But the whole situation has been going on for a long time and had to be dealt with in a hard way.
As most people say, I was ''The better one'' as I could stay cool under the situation, where Jerry was having a harder time controlling his annoyed feelings towards him, wich we all kinda had that moment.
Treepid has giving us a lot of trouble and long conversations about what we should do with it, that night we decided to face him with the truth about what is going on and it didnt result in anything.
I don't like to show the side of myself I had to show on teamspeak that night. I am a happy and friendly person and I try to be this to everyone, but Treepid gave me no other choice but to get out the not fun and harsh person.
After the conversation was over we did recieve a lot of hate and people picking side.
We never asked for this and would like to close that book, but members from our community won't let it rest and keep brining it back up.

About the staff maturty.
This is out of our control, cannot tell our staff to act other than the way they are.
We always tell our staff that there is time to just be a normal members and goof around with friends playing games or just talking. But there are also times where you need to do what you applied for, Helping people.
I can understand that Helpers are more afraid of being demoted since they are just Helpers.
But being demoted will only happen if staff mess something up BIG time, or if they just stop being Helpers completly and just show off with the rank.

About the Server.
Jerry and Harry are still dealing with school wich takes up a lot of time, but I do have give this to them : They do put A LOT of effort into the server that you people don't even know about.
It might not always seem like this, but they do. I can promise you that.

About helpers being ''op''
Currently Helpers are still new and we are checking how the handle the commands.
If commands are ''op'' we will ofcourse remove them.

 

I can understand the part about friends being treated differently. I have a connection with it, as that had happened to me with one of the MODS. This particular mod, he may or may not know who he is, used to be a really good friend with me. We were mainly SG buddies, but we had a lot of fun together. When he got Helper, I have a grounding from my mom from getting a B or C or something on a Pop Quiz for a certain amount of weeks (I mean seriously I didn't even know it was coming) the exact amount of time before this particular mod had gotten the rank. A lot of more people were fond of him for his staff rank, but I wasn't anymore. I used to be, until he said this to me one time. Not word for word, but the gist. "Miner, I have work to do, so shut up." This scarred me, since this mod was so nice to me and a lot of people before, and now, only nice to new players.

It didn't stop there, this mod kept doing it when I tried to have fun with him. This mod only comes if other people are there too, and not just me and him like to good old days. Now I treat him the way he treats me. He may or may not like it, but "treat others the way you want to be treated" is really good advice.

Although being mature is part of a mod/helper's job, there are times when staff will really need that break after a hard day of work on a busy and popular server. On that break, they're a little less mature, but then back to acting like a 17 year old. I'm fine with that, but couldn't they on their break, act like everyone's their friend and just...be themselves? It may not work on those awfully mature people, but it will work on some, if not most, if not a little bit of the staff.

Just saying.

its just that now that shes staff, she has a lot of stuff she has to do
