Bumping your App

Recently there's been a lot of people bumping their mod/helper application after days, weeks, or even MONTHS of it being dormat.
This is NOT allowed. You will be DENIED if you continue to bump your helper applications.

- "But how will we get people to see it so we can become helper?"
Bumping your app to the top doesn't help. It's not how it works.
The way helpers are being chosen isn't based on how recent your app is or if it's on the front page.

What does bumping mean? Editing or making new threads... Pls explain

Some examples I've seen are people "editing" their applications after months of it being inactive then posting on it to bump it to the top so everyone can see it.

It's still not allowed at the punishment goes to the bumper, not the applicant.

 

I actually asked a mod if I was allowed to reply to someone even thought it was a month ago, and he said he wasn't sure. So I replied anyways so should I delete my response? Because I only did it once because I wasn't sure because the rules said don't bump excessively.

I guess it isn't technically bumping but it could very well be taken as bumping.
If a staff member says it's okay then It's okay. I'd say it's okay.

Another thing.
If you want your staff app to get reviews (since that's the most common "excuse"), just ask some of your friends either in-game or when you see them in real life to take a look at it if they haven't already. They won't have to reply either, they can just tell you straight on!

 

Thank you misfit for telling all the people to stop. Its not gonna inscrease there chances on getting helper, it decreases there chances, stop bumping people!

 

Well sh*t. My sister just bumped my app and it's really old. Whoops sorry! and by the way, how long does an app have to be idle for it to be considered bumping?

 

Hm, I'd say about 5 days to a week or longer.

 

A lot of players bump when ItsJerry or ItsHarry is on, because they want them to see their apps. It's getting annoying, because many players are doing it so often, even though, J&H look at other players app sometimes, that are not bumped at all, like in the 25 pages.

 

Finally, I hope people won't do it anymore when Jerry and/or Harry are online.

Ok thanks, I have a confession. I bumped my app. Well kind of.

 

Ok, so the person who bumps gets the warn point. If you reply to that person who bumped your application, will you be warned as well? For example:

I say something.
A month later
Someone says something.
I reply in less than a day.

Would I be considered bumping my app as well?

 

My staff app is in section 8 now that I think of it....
