I've seen a lot of staff apps lately and some of them really have LACK of effort. If you don't try hard on your app, how would we know you really want the position? Also, of course the app is going to get denied, it clearly shows you didn't really put much thought into it. I've also noticed a lot of begging. Begging for a staff member to look at your app or accept you is annoying and will get your app denied afterwards.
post this in server discussion and i also agree with you, those guys who put no effort just don't get staff :D
Some people can't really put actually effort in it, they try to, but kinda.. Can't. For me it's hard to talk about myself because, I actually don't really know myself, but my friends and other people, just remind me on how and what I really am and how they support me, I don't know if my application is good but, that's not what this thread is about For some people, it's just hard to talk about who and what they really are. And by supporting someone, really helps him/her.
Honestly, this is just rude to people with lack of effort. I mean, they do try their best. First off, what if typing/writing isn't their best subject? Or, what if they don't know what to type. Also, what if their shy and can't talk about themselfs? In my opinion, they did a pretty good job, like seriously. They were brave enough to make a app even though there are 900 other apps.
All right lemme minimize the hate here. First of all, some "lack of effort" apps I've seen are made by really young kids. What do you expect them to do, give an essay that looks like it was made by a 15 year old who excels in reading and writing? Think about it. Why else would they ask you for your age other than to see how mature you can be? Your age actually matters! For example, if a 12 year old did a 12 year old essay for app? Might get it. 12 year old did 16 year old essay for app? Most likely will get it. So next time before you put in an app that doesn't look like someone put effort, think to yourself "If he/she is this old, would this app be a good app for their age?"
As mentioned above, although it might not look like it, people try. Some might not be able to write a lot in their first try, but can edit it later. Also, applications aren't the only way you can become Staff. You could have amazing application, and be a complete jerk in-game.
