I don't know why but there are LOTS of Stagg members leaving the server saying "I have better things to do" or something. Being staff can be a honor to some people but I understand if it gets old
I've seen that some staff members leave due to being inactive, simply losing interest, or just can't do it anymore due to IRL issues/occurrences. It has been hard, but the server doesn't come before our life outside of this place.
A lot of our Staff members are older than some of the players on here. They have responsibilities in real life like jobs or school, it's all part of growing up. Real life issues come (or they should at least) before online activities and games, and if you can't balance your video game life and your real life very well, it's better to give up part of your online life.
In addition to what Star and SMG said, school is starting up and the staff members who retired have been staff for months-years and are older. With being older comes more responsibilities, including standardized testing for college when you're in your junior / senior (11/12th) grade years. Also, even if staff retires, they mostly still come around every now and then and check forums. As fun as the server and community is, we all have lives outside of it.
I mean, most staff members may want to have lives outside of Minecraft. School just started back up, and some staff members may not want to have to deal with the stress of being a staff member and school at the same time.
most of the staff members who have just resigned where old players, and have been staff for over a year. they've been doing it for a while, and they're obviously going to find better things to do and better ways to spend their days. it gets repetitive. yes, being staff is a total honor, but people are going to grow up and stray away from the server and minecraft in general.
It's not that they have "better things to do", but it's that real life has come in to play. Some staff may think resigning will help them focus on real life issues, such as school and we should support their decision for that because becoming staff means you have to take on many responsibilities you didn't have before. And even though it might get old, they still strive to show commitment to help the community and in my opinion, that's good enough. :) We will for sure remember our resigned staff members though. o7
I agree with the staff members that have posted on here. Yes, they gained a place as staff member and worked for a while, but people do grow up. They start to look for jobs and apprenticeships etc. or they start to have important exams. For young teens then, generally speaking, they have lots of free time to play on here, but if you're getting to the early adult stage then your priorities become different.
As the @TheRealSmg has said in a thread he created, not all staff members stay forever. Sooner or late, everyone will leave and we will get new staff. A lot of our staff members are older than most players. So they have jobs, school, and more. No matter if they resign or not, we will always appreciate what they have done for us, and the server. ❤️❤️ o7 to all the staff members that have resigned.
Excuse you? Like you can do a better job. People leave the community, get over it. People have lives outside of Minecraft. If someone wants to leave, then you should respect their choice.
Just because they are new and less experienced does not mean they are immediately 'bad'. Jeez mate, give them a break. They may not be as good as older staff, but their still learning. We're all humans I think, it takes time for us to improve.
I might be leaving soon if this problem i found isnt fixed. It's a huge nazi flag built right outside some of my friend's plots that are near mine and so far no one has really helped to get rid of it
Louise, Why don't you apply? I'm sure you will be a great staff member. Do you have enough time for it tho?
Many people have told me that, but there are personal reasons to why I don't want to be a staff member at the moment. When I become older then perhaps. If you really want to know why not, then just pm me :)
