TIPS: Volume 2

Hello, people of the forums. I was too lazy to make a Grammar Nazi lesson, so I decided to make a second edition of my successful guide, TIPS.

Tip 12:
If you are not ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, 100 PERCENT sure that you are going to leave, then do not post an "Inactive" thread. It always ends the same way with, "I couldn't stay away."

Tip 13:
If you are a fan of the TV show known as My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, do not report someone named JoeyBACONBacon because he doesn't like it. He is allowed to not enjoy things.

Tip 14:
Do not use the phrases "lel," "lul," and "lawl" for they are annoying, and do not make any sense. The original abbreviation LOL means "laughing out loud." Lel, lul and lawl do not mean anything, and they are pointless. They also annoy me.



Tip 15:
Do not say "Don't post on old threads" if the last post that was posted is not more than 2 weeks old.

Tip 16:
Do not say "Don't post on old threads" even if the previous post is over 2 weeks old. You are also replying to an old thread, so you have juxtaposed your statement. It usually ends up reactivating the thread more than the original post would have.

Tip 17:
If you do not like a new plugin or minigame that Jerry and Harry have specifically developed because of your complaints and requests, then do not protest. It will get the original plugin taken off, and everyone will hate you with a passion.

Tip 18:
Try to help smaller community members into the spotlight. This forum has over 6,000 members, yet only about 100 make up the "community." Despite having your fancy "Well-Known" or "Active" name, you are still as much of a part of the community as anyone else. Do not pretend that you are better than anyone else just because of your activity. We could use some more people to get along with here, and for all you know, those other 5,900 people might help us out a lot and be great people.

Tip 19:
Do not put links to YouTube videos in your thread. They can be untrustworthy because you don't know what you are clicking into. If you want to show a YouTube video, copy the address. Then, click on the little film strip icon above where you type a message, and paste the address into that. It is much easier for people to see the video, since it is right there in the widget.

Tip 20:
Do not click on links that other people post unless they are guaranteed to be trustworthy. The link may be a virus or something else that can harm your computer.

Tip 21:
If you are going to insult someone with facts about a topic, make sure you actually know about the topic. This statement also applies to debates. If you are going to debate with someone, make sure your facts are correct.
An example is where Poof called me a "retard" because I said The Hub was owned by Discovery Communications. Poof replied saying "You retard, it's owned by Hasbro". That is incorrect. While My Little Pony is produced by Hasbro, it is broadcasted on The Hub, which is owned by Discovery Communications.

Tip 22:
If you are a new member that nobody knows about, do not be afraid to show yourself in the community. Usually a post in the Introduction section is not enough. Try to just act like a part of the community. Post on threads, talk to people, and be a nice person. If you show yourself as an awkward douchebag, nobody will really like you, and you will have made a bad first impression on the community.
