The Walking Dead

I'm stumped and I need help. I have a project due on next week and it's asking me to label the where I live and all the physical features. I finished that part, but the second part asks where I would live to survive the walking dead. I have never seen the walking dead and probably won't. I'm confuzzled on what I should avoid to avoid getting killed. I was thinking an area to farm for food and an area with a river or stream for hygiene and water. So, what are some key things I would need to be safe and survive?
