@VictoriaLKXX as Victoria @Left4Lag as Noah It's very strange because I wrote most of it at 2 AM but nevertheless, enjoy. I'll add more stories to the thread as I write them. If you have an idea, feel free to comment! It was a humid summer day in God-knows-where, and time was irrelevant. One day bled into the next as quickly as an open wound starts to bleed. Everyday was stale, and life had no definition. It was completely possible that everyday was an infinite loop of the last; I couldn't have cared nor noticed either way. I stepped out of the black minivan with tinted windows and three red stripes, immediately forgetting its contents. It drove away, disappearing into the endless expanse around me. The sun scorched against my face as I surveyed my surroundings. I saw sun-scorched dry mountains randomly dotted with the occasional dead shrub. They continued as far as the eye could see, wavering in height in random, unpredictable patterns. A lone terminal stood amongst the desert dust. Box-shaped compartments, all empty, were constantly sent from it up and over the ridge, and into the expanse beyond. It took my drowsy mind a few moments to realize that I was looking at a cable car system. I started my walk through the barren, immolated land, stepping over the occasional bush, and leaping over a hole or two. I stopped for a moment and contemplated. Who am I? I thought. Eventually, I shrugged it off and continued. After what felt like a millennium of walking, I eased into a light jog and then into a heavy sprint; only then did the terminal inch closer. The terminal was completely unmarked and unlabeled. A set of two flimsy double-doors was the only thing keeping the interior from being cooked by the beatdown of the sun. I opened one, almost tearing it from its rusty hinges. The atmosphere immediately transformed. An ancient gramophone was playing Bach in the center of the strange lobby. Suddenly a feeling of unsettling tranquility set over me; something seemed extremely wrong. I walked towards the stairs, beckoned by a large, neon arrow. At the top of the stairs, I was met by a lady who could have very well lived alongside the dinosaurs. She was so repulsive that I could have mistook her as a corpse that had been dug out of a coffin. Her wrinkles were defined to an exaggerated level, and her face seemed to almost droop off of her head. Her hair was tangled and scarce, only residing in specific patches. She had patches of greenish-yellow gout and rot, writhing with maggots and flies. “‘Ey ‘dere,” She exclaimed in a frail, raspy voice. “I ‘m Victoria! I’ll be your guide today” “H- H- AHEM.. Hello,” I said, clearing my throat. “Where exactly, are we...?” “I don’t know. I was hoping you’d answer that for me.” She sighed. “Well, what are y-” I started, but she cut me off crudely. “Anyways, you wish to leave here, wherever here is?” “I suppose so, yes.” “Then follow the yellow line.” She instructed, pointing at a crudely painted line. “Where t-” I was again cut off. “Have a nice day!” She said sarcastically with a reluctant smirk. “But w-” I was cut off for the third time. “Get out,” She muttered, gritting her teeth, revealing rotting gums and sharp canine fangs. A trail of blood trickled down her chin and splattered on the floor. A nauseating smell emanated from her mouth as she breathed a heavy, labored breath directly into my face. I stood for a moment, dumbfounded by her hostility. After a few seconds, I started an awkward shuffle towards the corner where the line made a uneven turn. Expecting the worst, I peeked around the corner. Instead of my nightmares, I instead found a sparse, completely empty cable car terminal. As I trudged forward, the whole system stopped, a car positioning itself perfectly next to the loading dock and opening its doors with an exasperated squeal. It was if someone had been expecting me, or if I had just walked into the mouth of some gargantuan beast, opening its clenched teeth in an attempt to swallow me whole into its ancient bowels. Worst of all, I felt as if someone was watching me. I saw no other possible action, so I started a bold jog towards the box. After a few minutes of unsuccessful consideration, I sat myself on the Rubber-padded bench at the rear of the car. Shortly after, I heard a beep as the doors started to retract and I started to move slowly along the cable. I stared at the glass floor, contemplating my very existence. Suddenly, I felt the car shake as a large man that I had not noticed pried the doors open. I could almost hear the car screaming at his presence. The odor of festering trash and sweat enveloped the enclosed car, and the vent was locked shut. The man must have weighed a ton, at least that’s how he looked. His face was shrouded by a cloud of unorganized stubble, and he had dark bags under his bloodshot, beady eyes. His nose looked as if had been bashed in, and long-dried blood caked the bridge of it. He wore a white tank top stained with sweat, grease, blood, and most likely tears, and cargo shorts. All of his apparel appeared as if had been drenched in some unidentifiable liquid. “Hey there!” He shouted. “My name’s Noah! What’s yours?” “I don’t know.” I responded with emptiness. “That’s fine....” He trailed off, inspecting me with his gazing eyes. Feeling uncomfortable, I stared at the undulating mountains through the crystal floor. He turned, shaking the car, and looked back at the terminal we came from. “Where are we?” He asked under his breath, turning around and staring into my eyes. “I don’t know...” “Do you ever feel as if reality is not... reality?” I stared at him, confounded. I glanced out the window and saw my destination slowly moving towards me. A car kicked up plumes of sand as it parked in the desert below. It had 3 red stripes. I felt a nagging in my brain, as if I were trying to remember something. “IT’S THE SAME!” Noah yelled abruptly, interrupting my state of mind. “It’s all the damn same!” He pulled a black lighter out of his shorts, bearing the same pattern as the car below. He kindled a flame, and pointed it at his shorts. “You’re welcome.” He proclaimed proudly, before touching the flame to his abdomen. The liquid erupted in a beautiful fountain of flames, engulfing the car in a show of beautiful and absolute destruction. I screamed as I felt the fire consume my flesh, disintegrating my skin into nothing. And then I was at peace.
