server reseting?

Ok so latley iv heard that when 1.8 comes out the server will reset...by that i mean that stats and everything in factions will reset!I dont know if its for this or every server but i heard that some server will be resetting!
IS this true?

 

I doubt it. The only thing that will be affected by the 1.8 changes are new chunks.

 

Well heres a thought!!So since iv heard the server will be resetting i was thinking....Wouldnt it just be a rip off to those of us that donated??I mean think of it for example,
Some of us have wasted alot of money on Creeper eggs for factions and more faction power so if the server would of reset then people would just quit the server because we have spend alot of money as of this moment just to have the server reset,Think if it this way,
Wer'e giving away free money and were all spending HOURS AND HOURS of our time pmaying and it will all be for nothing...why?Because the server will reset!Also we would be buying stuff from the server and then ittle just get reset??

I think Mojang said it's okay for people to keep their ranks and items they payed for as long as they make it avaliable for other players to get it while in game. So unless Jerry and Harry DO decide to reset everything, you'll keep your ranks and paid items. Otherwise, there's no info on resetting. They're pretty much just rumours.

 

Yea not just the items for what we payed for,Im also talking about the items we currently have!
Like picks,swirds...And so on.

 

Jerry and Harry will take care of that when the time comes. They won't let you waste all of your money for everything.
