Seriously...

Ok, has anyone noticed that absolutely NOTHING has been done about the insane amount of hackers in OITC. I come on and I can't have one round without at least 2 hackers. I mean, seriously? People have left the server because of hackers and nothing is done about it. I almost NEVER see staff in OITC (Besides helpers). Only about 1/4 of the OITC server even knows how to report. And because of this, the amount of hackers has tripled since the opening of OITC. This is just plain dumb. Its as if OITC is just a place for hackers to go and never get banned. And when the hackers DO get banned, they just come back a few days later and do it again, and again, and again. On other large servers I never see hackers. They monitor the servers and if there are a lot of complaints they do something. Why not do the same? People leave the server, make threads like this one, complain to staff, and nothing has changed in OITC. Its as if no one can hear us or you just don't care about this insanely popular mini game.

DO SOMETHING! Please! Everyone wants hackers gone except hackers themselves.

EDIT: Oh yeah one more thing. You always say: "Just report it". Wtf? You think it takes 2 seconds to report? Its not a game if all I ever do is record and report every round.

We need MORE MODS NOT HELPERS because helpers only warn the hackers not ban them so yea and ofc our staff members have to spread around the server.

 

That and Mods need to be active in OITC.

 

We need more staff. let alone mods or helpers. Just more staff. A lot needs to be done, but due to the staff being busy it's hard, I don't understand what happened to this circle of promotions that went around, because it needs to be relived.
And for the one staff member which will delete my post. It's an opinion so it'll go to show how corrupt the system is :>

 

Holy crap. Did you even read the thread? And did you not think we all tried to "deal with it"? I have tried to deal with it for the past few months. As I said in the thread, WE CAN'T REPORT HACKERS IF THEY ARE IN EVERY ROUND!!!!! Its not like theres just a few hackers that ignore us. Its all the time! I see more hackers on here than I do on mineplex. THAT is bullshit.

I thought you were leaving. If the server doesn't know how to report you ask us period OR EVEN THE HELPERS OMG . Also Helpers don't have nothing to do with hackers, alright get that through your dense head. Only mods and above can handle hackers. If the hackers do come back then get proof report it and we'll double the ban yeah? Simple That's how we MODS have been instructed to do okay. and lastly addressing your last claim at the end. "wtf" do you think it takes to be staff to monitor 20+ servers? ALSO SOME COMMON SENSE FOR YOU "SIR" IF YOU DON'T REPORT THEM GUESS WHAT THEY'LL NEVER GO AWAY.

This is like the 3rd thread about this. Okay thank you, wow I never knew about the oitc hacker.
@KateVampire is kinda correct. We need more mods, but mods need proof to see the hacker. We need to spectate oitc games, so the hacker issue is solved. We are well aware of the problem.
Even tho Heat wrote something, I'm still gonna say this. This is almost ironic. You're telling us that you don't like the hacker and all of them, but when was the last time you reported someone? Yes, I know that reporting someone doesn't take a minute or two (I've never reported someone before), but would you rather hackers or to waste 10 minutes of your life to report someone? I guess not since I haven't seen you report.
Until we get a spectate thing going, you will have to report. If you don't report, then you can enjoy the hackers and the next 3 threads about this.
Sorry if this came off rude, but it's the honest truth.

Just goes to show that most of the server has no patience at all. I'd like to see most of the complainers if they were in this position. How hard it can be to monitor many servers throughout the day, several reports (most of which isn't on the server itself, but via reports - which is why I'm seen as afk a lot).
Seriously though we can't say it enough, if you report a hacker, we'll deal with it. Done and dusted right there. As Devin said, if they come back, it doubles. Does that REALLY seem too much to ask for? All these complaints are from the community as a whole not reporting things, yet they expect us to sort it out. We aren't psychic. We can't tell where someone is and what they're doing exactly unless we're informed of it. It's like some of you don't like talking to staff. If we're afk on the server, message on Skype or the forums. This is a COMMUNITY.

Adding on, even if we may be understaffed sometimes, it's not like we can just pull out a few new mods out of nowhere, and be like "hey you're mod now". The staff selection process takes time as well.

I understand your frustrations, but if a staff member is not on the server when you need one, find one, and say "hey this server is unattended, please check it". If you can't, report it. Because we aren't superhuman, we're players like you, and sometimes we will miss things.

 

In case you haven't noticed, I've been working on improving things step by step. We can't possibly do everything all at once without a staff team many times the size of what we have.

The problem with recruiting more is we have to be careful else we get abusive staff who just abuse the playerbase. We're trying to grow the team but that takes time.

Until then, we have to work on things step at a time. Yes, thats on the roster for things to fix. No, its not as simple as you seem to think it is.

Now, with that said. I think it would be best if people kept in mind they might not have all the facts before they start making threads like this.

Also, I apologize on behalf of the staff team for some of the staff's attitude there. That was not the appropriate way for staff to react to something like this.

EDIT: Oh, and one other thing. For people who want more help from staff; your behavior tends to discourage them having anything to do with you. If this is the welcome they get, it'll be harder to get help, not easier.
