So it apears that reporting abuse has been updated to that only people with helper rank or above can reply. I can guess why as well. My guess is that to many people where doing this Or this Or my favroite this: Its spam, and who ever made this decision, your right it 100%. Before i continue there is a diffrence between helpfull spam and the crap i mentioned above. An example of helpful spam is ANYTIME i post on a report that is not mine. It typicaly is explaining something, which is helping the staff out so they dont have to:) or providing a back story. Well hy deffination its spam but its serving a purpouse. Im not saying im higher then anyone else its the fact I want to help the staff not say stupid crap (ie nice catch)* However the reason, to my understanding, you guys eft it open in the first place is for a.) more evidence b.) the acused persons side of the story. So thats my two cents. Also i gave this time cause i figured @RobyNub1337 would post something about this. *If it sounds like im taking a shot at people who say nice catch im not trying to. I just think its very farmy. Believe it or not i was planning on suggesting a crack down on report spamming on report threads. EDIT: ignoor the BB code, i failed massively there.
Actually I was going to make a thread on this later tonight lol oh well, I guess this is just as good. Yes, it was to crack down on spam. Also. Person A reports person B with sketchy evidence or one sided evidence. (for instance, says stuff to upset them, then only takes screenshots of their replies, in a harassment case, not showing what they did to start it...). Now the whole crowd JUMPS all over that thread raging at person B. Not noticing that there is actually not a solid case against them. Things like that happen a lot, so we stopped it. Now it will be handled in a clean, organized fasion. If you wish to provide extra evidence to a case, send it to the person who reported it, or to the staff member you see handling it.
Fair enough, my only concern is people will do the "i did not get a fair chance card". It seems like speculation but from what ive seem its possible it *might* start drama. Oh well it will be interesting to see how it goes. Also prat of this problem is people not giving a good description in reports. That whole detailed thing is ignored most of the time.
Yeah. Well, two things changed actually. First, that lockdown. Second, they can now post reports against staff members in the staff abuse section.
