Remember when...

If you were on these forums before THESE forums existed, you would absolutely know this:
Getting 500-1000 posts WAS A BIG FRICKIN DEALIO? MMMKAY?

Now people have THOUSANDS of posts... and I found this a bit weird. But now i've figured it out.
On the old forums, your post count only went up in a couple of sections: off topic, creations, and the server stuff. But now, everything counts except Forum games and I can see why. Honestly i'm not sure how i'm not up to atleast 500 posts yet considering my time on these forums and the amount of places I can post. Speaking of places to post, there's more. a LOT more. like, in the old forums there was the reports, ban appeals, suggestions, and just server things in general. now, EVEY SINGLE MINIGAME HAS ITS OWN PLACE, help has been added, and more I think.

So yeah, there's some quick history of the forums xD

 

I remember this...one particular person was 1 off from 2k when the forums revamped...xD

I remember back when Animoes got 1,000 likes a couple months ago, and he was like 200 likes ahead of everyone. Now ELEVEN people have over 1,000 likes, a couple of them that don't exactly deserve it. I remember when Teddie had like 2,000 posts, and the second person had like 500. (that's another issue that can be addressed later), but now there's TWELVE people with over 2,000 posts. Two of them have FOUR THOUSAND posts. One almost has 5,000. This just shows how much useless stuff people post on here now...

 

I can't help but think some people just post farm for the sake of post farming.

 

I remember when I first saw the original forums. I posted one thing and never went on xD
Then someone later told me there was a place to sign up for staff (Ahaha, of course that was my first post >-<)
I stayed around and it was pretty cool.
I remember being the 3rd top poster for a while, and doing that 100 like challenge with @Mcc457.
Teddie went away and Ani and I caught up, after a very long time.
In between though, post count was disabled (Meaning others couldn't see it).
I also remember the incident that led up to getting Flare banned, and partly Pyro. (He might deny it but part of his last few posts included me and Flare)
I was on ts and recorded 6 hours of shtuff, and eventually Treepid and the owners talking it out. Damn that was weird.
I remember getting involved in a thread, trying to help and Dao saw it as me trying to flame at someone, therefore getting me banned for the first time. Man that was boring.
The second time, was when Harry misread my post after relaying it from Pyro, and getting 2 warning points adding on to my previous 10, and I got banned again. It wasn't that boring though, the second time.
Then, a few weeks ago, I got banned from ts by breaching a contract I had with a certain head admin about something, but meh, I didn't mind that much.
I remember my first proper thread I made, asking 'Why did you make your username the name it is' or something. Animoes was one of the first to respond, and he had that profile picture of that girl, I think we know which one.
I also remember when I had my giraffe picture, I got it from a science book.
I also remember when forum games had post count and a certain someone *cough teddie cough* got 3000 posts in the first week.
It took 5-6 months to catch up, and a few weeks to pass. Hell, I'm nearly reaching 5k.
I also remember the shoutout box, that was pretty good. Was talking to a few people in there about a disaster that happened, can't remember what though.
I remember posting about Bonkumiru, the first ever time I got into TF2.
I met others that enjoyed the game, @ItsStartheFox & @BossClaire in particular.
I also remember when everyone was posting a lot more useful stuff, and stuck to the rules more. When flame threads didn't earn you points and shtuff. Dao wasn't active.

 

The first guy to get to 1000 posts was Leandro. I remember that, I was online when that happened.
Rep number was also a big thing...

 

Rep = EVERYTHING ZOMG GUYS LOOK AT MY REP AREN'T I COOL?
Until it was deleted then we just went on in the forums

 

Something that I remember from the old forums.

I had hella bad spelling and grammar.

But I had no negative rep.

I had like... 40 positive rep I believe.

 

I was nearing 70+ rep on the forums, then it revamped. Meh, I'd rather have rep earned in actions than numbers.

 

I was never on the old forums :(

I remember, the first day, I created an account. There was the shoutbox, people were talking about this Dora creepypasta, and how the cows liked to separate themselves. The first person I remember actually seeing was @BossClaire

 

What are you talking about, this is so much easier to read.

Ah the old forums
I only went on to make a few posts
such as an intro
a staff app (I was a nub back den nu judge pls ;-; i cri evertim)
and onto the shoutbox for help
