Me being "toxic"

One thing that might help is trying not to make an extreme interpretation of what people are saying. By this I mean:

Don't do this:
Someone tries to point out something you could improve on --> You think "they think I'm currently a dick, that's mean" --> Retaliate, which worsens the problem you're trying to fix.

Do this:
Someone tries to point out something you could improve on --> You think "gee, they actually care about me --> Thank them for the advice and embrace positivity.

People here are not calling you dicks and telling you to go kill yourself. They are telling you exactly what they mean, nothing more. People here are also not careless. If they were, they wouldn't have responded to your post.
