It's been legalised

Not marijuana, but Gay marriage is legalised here in the United States. The internet will explode today.

We aren't breaking our own constitution.

 

This is great! I couldn't be happier for the country. Love wins. It's a great step into the future.
Love is a human experience, not a political statement. As being apart of the LGBT+ community myself, this makes me unbelievably excited and happy.

Equality for all.
We've got a long way to go, there are more than 30 states I think it is that need laws that ends/bans discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. There are states where you can be fired for being LGBT+. But, that's for another day.
History was made today :) baby steps, but steps for the better finally.

 

Lets take slavery or child labor. I am not sure if that is still legalised but it shouldn't be.

This is amazing. Finally gay people have a voice. People gay who want to marry another person they like thats there gender is not wrong. If you truly love someone, it doesn't matter which gender. Finally the government was able to realize that and now gay people can finally be happy.

I don't understand why it was illegal in the first place.
a). Your religion doesn't speak for everyone in this country.
b). The constitution literally says all humans are created equal (Unless gay people are dinosaurs, then that is acceptable)
c). We don't have to legalize straight marriage, why should we have to legalize gay marriage (I'M NOT AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE)

Finally gay marriage is legalized in America. Now the people can marry who they want. I would be happy to see some of the faces on the people who are gay. It would make me cry tears of joy. I love seeing people happy. I don't care if your gay bi lesbians or anything. You love who you love. You shouldn't let people be rude to you cause you love the same sex. So happy it is legalized. If I ever become gay and I found the perfect guy I would want to marry him and I would be so happy.

It's still weird.... Men are supposed to marry women, vice versa. Dunno why they'd marry someone of the same sex.
