These protests have captured the attention of Trump, who issued the statement above. Despite his warning, Iran has started forceful suppression, such as organizing violent counter protests, shooting demonstrators, and even jailing people for little reason. Protestors are expressing dissent against the Iranian establishment, and are calling for the supreme leader to step down. Women demonstrators have removed the veil that is mandatory by Iranian law. These people want to experience the personal freedoms Iran had before the 80s. Do not let the actions of the Iranian government to deny human rights go unnoticed, spread the word around. #FreeIran.
