Honestly, the only FNaF game that actually managed to scare me was FNaF 1. FNaF 1 had a lot of tension and you wonder if whenever you put down your camera that something's already in the office. What creeped me out the most was night 3 on, with Freddy being active. After night 6 though, after an endless cycle of death, what was once fear turned into rage with each death, especially the nightmare of 4/20 mode. FNaF 2 to had too many animatronics, and jumpscares were easily predictable. Don't flash your light in the hallway, expect a visit from Foxy. Wake the marionette, he'll be there soon. Withered animatronic in the room? It might have caught a glimpse of you before you slipped that helmet on. Newer model in a vent? Expect a hug. There was also no real challenge to not use your cameras in FNaF 2. My type of horror is to make you have to do something that you don't want to. And with no limit to power, it was basically more a difficulty in animatronics, and Night 7 10/20 mode was a nightmare. I counted 126 deaths before I finally beat it... And you have no idea what 8 hours of FNaF does to you. Basically with infinite power was like Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs (which in my opinion, is the worst horror game ever), with infinite lantern power and no sanity. No tension and no stress which really took away from both games. FNaF 3 I haven't played yet but it sounds interesting, and I'm looking forward to it. I heard since there's only one animatronic, the only other ones you see are jumpscares of hallucinations. Still, mangle's static in FNaF 3 has a lower pitch, and sounds a lot more blood-curdling. To me it sounds FNaF 3 was more difficulty based than the other ones. But ironically, even if FNaF 1 was the scariest, and FNaF 2 and 3 didn't impress me, I liked #2 the best just because I'm addicted to it. Something about #2 makes me want to play it every day, even if I end up ragequitting :/
I really wish that he wouldn't spoil this. I'm not an FNAF fan myself (though I find the concept cool), but if he let the hype die and then hammer everyone with all this new stuff in October... That'd be unexpected and epic. Now that people know what's coming, it won't be as interesting anymore. Still looking intriguing nonetheless.
Some other animatronics haven't been shown yet. Balloon boy, mangle, etc... There could even be new animatronics that have not been introduced yet, with a greater chance of being true if FNaF 4 is a sequel.
I agree @Yomc. He did the same thing for FNAF 3 but, he didn't show any pictures for springtrap I think.
Oh wow, This game might be interesting. Just the looks from the teasers photos, this game might be where either you are against the weird purple guy, or some other malicious entity like a demon or something. Still, seems like a fun game for Halloween
